    Hi,
    I have my site in development and changed the stack to Renew. I am having trouble with any post created in cornerstone, displaying excerpts in the blog (post listing) pages. I have added the updates to the functions.php file.

    Upon looking at the live site, the same thing is happening.

    Hi there,

    Please note that shortcodes, cornerstone and VC elements couldn’t be part of excerpt, please add manual excerpt to your posts.

    Hi,
    That is a shame. Is it possible to look at this issue for the future, as Yoast SEO is now able to pull the Google snippet from a cornerstone generated text-box/section?

    If it were possible, this function would greatly enhance the quality of posts, because cornerstone layouts in X are so much more theme oriented and I would love to train my content editors to use it on a permanent basis so they may add rich content.

    The purpose of the excerpt is to show a short or introductory text for a post. Cornerstone is a page builder and contents within could not be shown for automatic excerpts.
