Hi there,
Here is how it’s currently laid out. http://digitaldarlingscreative.com/blog/
Here is what I’m aiming for.
http://digitaldarlingscreative.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/DD-Website-Mockup-BLOG.jpg
Is this achievable with a bit of custom work?
Thanks in advance!

Thank you for writing in!
Your website is currently in maintenance mode, would you mind providing us with the WordPress login so that we can see the website? Please don’t forget to select Set as private reply to ensure your data remains hidden from other users.
In the meantime the aimed layout doesn’t seem to be much difficult to make, however we can only direct you to the correct path after seeing your current blog 🙂
Cheers!

The login won’t work, please check and we will try again.
Thanks!

July 21, 2014 at 11:04 pm #71789Hey Terence,
Sorry for the confusion. Your request would require restructuring of elements or adding a layout for the blog page for best results. With that said, we recommend that you hire a WordPress developer as that would fall beyond the scope of our support.
Thank you for understanding.
July 22, 2014 at 9:38 am #71969What about just having the image on top of the title, full width, instead of the thumbnail or overlay? Would that require anything custom? I can do the development… but would prefer not to.
July 23, 2014 at 5:47 am #72361Hi Terence,
Thanks for writing in!
Unfortunately this is not possible with custom CSS or simple PHP customization to template files.
Regretfully this isn’t a feature offered by X. It could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer, or a service like Mircolancer or Tweaky to assist you with this. If you’re going to look into this yourself, I’d advise that you setup a child theme. This allows you to make code changes that won’t be overwritten when an X update is released. To change blog layout, override _content-post-header.php, content.php & _index.php files into child theme & then make your customizations.
After your child theme is setup, you can review how we recommend making template changes in Customization Best Practices. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities.
Thanks for understanding, Take care!
July 23, 2014 at 4:58 pm #72678Awesome – thanks again for such an amazing theme. Once the child theme is installed, is there a quick way to carry over all my previous work to the child theme, or is it supposed to happen automatically?
July 24, 2014 at 11:49 am #73081Hi Terence,
You can back-up your customizer Settings inside wordpress admin -> Customizer -> Export
When you activate one of the child theme, you’re cuztomiser settings would stay the same.
But you can Import your back-up if somethings unusual happens.
Cheers
July 24, 2014 at 2:18 pm #73150Okay great! Thanks team 🙂
Love the work you do.
July 24, 2014 at 2:19 pm #73151No Problem,
CheersJuly 24, 2014 at 2:23 pm #73156Not sure if it’s just me… when I activated the Ethos child theme, it says Renew everywhere. In the themes menu in WP and also under the first tab in customizer. Bug?
July 24, 2014 at 3:32 pm #73179Just set your Customizer -> Stack to Ethos and it should work fine.
