    Hi

    I’m using X theme for an open studio tour of 52 artists.

    Individual works by the artists don’t need showcasing only the artist themselves….

    Is there a way of creating custom posts or renaming the portfolio option (as this would work fine for what I need with it’s categories), as (‘portfolio-item’) would appear in the address bar it e.g. http://www.domainname.com/portfolio-item/artists-name/ which isn’t semantically correct

    Hi There,

    Thanks for posting in.
    Since portfolio is a custom post type, the slug (portfolio-item) is required. Although we can change/customize this slug to what you preferred on Appearance > Customize > Portfolio > Custom URL Slug.
