wackynationParticipantI’m trying to set up a portfolio page and am experiencing a number of problems.
1) If I change the feature image the one I had before is still there even though it has been deleted from the page.
2) Although I uploaded the image at 1000px as per another forum answer it comes out blurred when shown at the top of the page as the feature image.
3) If I follow your instructions and use ‘image’ and ‘thumbnail’ the feature image does not show up on the portfolio page. This only happens when I use ‘Gallery’ and ‘media’
4) On the portfolio page I am getting a scroll bar on my images and I would prefer for this not to happen.

RadModeratorHi there,
Thanks for posting in.
1. How did you delete it? I checked http://wackynation.co.uk/wp3/?x-portfolio=chilli-chuckin-challenge and there is no featured image which confirms it’s successful, right?
2. Would you mind uploading one, I don’t see any featured image. Just featured gallery/slide
3. Yes, they are featured Gallery and Media and not featured image, it’s supposed to display slides and video instead of featured image.
4. I don’t see any scrollbar, would you mind providing some screenshot? What browser and device you’re testing it on?
Thanks!

wackynationParticipantSorry don’t think I was very clear
1) I followed your literature about setting up a portfolio page https://community.theme.co/kb/portfolios/
The final portfolio page shows images with text below e.g. Image of the SeaHowever if I select image and thumbnail as per above instructions my final portfolio page has no images just text, as per this page
http://wackynation.co.uk/wp3/?x-portfolio=world-christmas-cracker-throwing-championship
http://wackynation.co.uk/wp3/?page_id=264If however I select gallery and media it comes up as a slide on the portfolio page, as per this page.
http://wackynation.co.uk/wp3/?x-portfolio=chilli-chuckin-challenge
http://wackynation.co.uk/wp3/?page_id=264How do I have the final portfolio page with the image and text as per the ‘Image of the Sea’ in the set up literature please i.e image with text below?
2) Change the background color of the portfolio page to orange
Hex Triplet: #FF7F00
RGB: (255, 127, 0)3) On each individual blog page e.g
http://wackynation.co.uk/wp3/?x-portfolio=chilli-chuckin-challenge
Is there a way to change my login name of srtoothpaste to the business name of Wacky Nation4) Have a slide display at the top of each page and large images below the text. At the moment these images are very small.
Thanks for your help

RadModeratorHi there,
1. What you just did is inserted the image in the editor, there should be Featured Image meta box along with the side of the editor, a bit down. Would you mind providing your admin login credentials in private reply? I like to see how you did it in the admin. This https://community.theme.co/kb/how-to-setup-galleries/ should be helpful too.
2. What’s the relation of the background color in image size? I really don’t see featured images, all I could see are sliders. Slider images have the maximum size of 1200×957. The only blurred image that I can see is this http://wackynation.co.uk/wp3/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/Cheese-Chilli-logo.jpg because it’s small. Maybe provide the exact URL and screenshot of the issue you’re referring 🙂
4. Please provide a screenshot.
Thanks!

wackynationParticipantI’ll look at most of this in the morning but question 2 was a new question I would like to change the boring grey background color that you have as standard on the portfolio page to our orange brand color. I have seen others have done this but cannot see where this needs to be altered is it css text

RadModeratorHi there,
Ah I see, please add this CSS to Admin > Appearance > Customizer > Custom > CSS
body.page-id-264 { background-color: #FF7F00; }Hope this helps.

wackynationParticipantThanks the blog page is now as I would like it, but is it possible to have the portfolio page only showing one image i.e removing the slider so it looks like ‘image of the sea’ https://community.theme.co/kb/portfolios/

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
Please select Image as Media type under Portfolio item settings, see this image : https://s3.amazonaws.com/community-themeco/app/uploads/2016/06/13132456/Add-Portfolio-Item.png
Hope it helps.

wackynationParticipantWhen I do this there is no image in either the blog page or the portfolio page as per attached.
Is it possible to somehow keep the slider or some images on the blog page and have a single image on the portfolio page please?

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
Yes, we can help you to hide featured image on posts and portfolios pages.
Please add following code in Customize -> Custom -> Global CSS :.single-x-portfolio .entry-featured, .single-post .entry-featured{ display:none; }Hope it helps.

wackynationParticipantSorry I don’t think I am making myself clear.
I am an events company and what I am trying to achieve is to use the portfolio page with a single image similar to this https://212studios.online/portfolio/
and the blog page to give a linked written case study with images showing what was achieved so like the blog page is now
http://wackynation.co.uk/wp3/?x-portfolio=world-christmas-cracker-throwing-championshipor if it isn’t possible to have a slider and single image on portfolio page then perhaps have a main picture at the top of the blog page, then text and then a series of images below the text e.g
https://212studios.online/portfolio-item/project-frostbite-2/ (but with pictures below text too)Hope that makes more sense so portfolio page with single image but blog page with slider or multiple images, is this possible please?
Please discount attachments

JoaoModeratorHi There,
Unfortunately I am a bit confused with your goals.
The portfolio that you are aiming seems like the standard X Portfolio
How to :
https://community.theme.co/kb/portfolios/I dont understand what you want to achieve with your blog page. Are you refering to your blog page or to a post?
Please clarify
Thanks

wackynationParticipantYes please I do want a basic standard integrity portfolio page unfortunately it doesn’t work as per all the thread above. Think of me as a non techie when you read this and I hope it’ll make a lot more sense.
This page is perfect I don’t want to make any changes at all. I like the slider at the top and most importantly it shows 3 images.
http://wackynation.co.uk/wp3/?x-portfolio=world-christmas-cracker-throwing-championshipHowever on the main portfolio page that links to the page above
http://wackynation.co.uk/wp3/?page_id=264&preview_id=264&preview_nonce=fa654137f4&_thumbnail_id=-1&preview=true
if you look at the World Christmas Cracker Throwing Championship it shows as a slider as per the page it links to.What I am trying to achieve is to have just a single image and a header on this page http://wackynation.co.uk/wp3/?page_id=264&preview_id=264&preview_nonce=fa654137f4&_thumbnail_id=-1&preview=true and still have it link to a page with the slider and images at the top of this page and then the header and then the text i.e. looking like this.
http://wackynation.co.uk/wp3/?x-portfolio=world-christmas-cracker-throwing-championshipI hope that makes sense. My guess is it probably needs some css code as this doesn’t seem possible

JadeModeratorHi there,
To get rid of the arrows, please add this code in the customizer:
.single-x-portfolio .flex-direction-nav { display: none; }Hope this helps.
