Hello,
I may be missing something here that is right in front of my face. I have the demo content with the place holder images in the portfolio. I am trying to use the slide show media type. The instructions are very vague. I don’t see where to add the images that go int the top slider inside the post. It says just upload you images to the post and I do that they don’t go in the slider they go in the content area. Like I said this should be something very simple but I do not see where to add the images.
February 12, 2014 at 3:43 pm #13876Hey,
when you add the images to the content area they get added to the slide by default and you can remove the images after adding them to the content area again. They will stay in the slide. So it’s basically an image auto detect feature.
March 31, 2014 at 9:53 am #28119OK we have updated the theme however that has caused a load more issues
We have seen that we can now create a page and layout to portfolio so we now have control over the portfolio page
http://www.uberebayshopdesign.com/new/portfolio/ our own created portfolio and yes I know how to swap the url for the old one. : )
Shoebliss piece is perfect and has a scroller working perfectly the image for the settings

The top piece named Shu2

Not only will that not go to a scroller, but also its also now decided it only wants to fill 70% of the screen.
I only noticed the guidance notes after first postings
“Golden Rule
We ask that the tone be kept courteous and professional (with a little fun on the side). If posts are made outside this realm, we reserve the right to remove them and in certain cases, the user account as well.”
I now see my first post may not totally fit to that rule SORRY
I am now 3 days in had others look at the issue and am now stuck on getting this to work.
Sitting patiently waiting for some reply
April 1, 2014 at 6:41 am #28539Hey Duncan,
I recommend that you upgrade to the latest version of X 1.8.1 and X Shortcodes 2.0.10.
Hope that helps. 🙂
April 1, 2014 at 8:04 am #28553Includes all shortcode functionality for X.
Version 2.0.9Ticking the box next to that and selecting update , then says shortcode updated return to plugins page not updated.
Updating Plugin X – Shortcodes (1/1)
The plugin is at the latest version.
X – Shortcodes updated successfully. Hide Details.
Version 1.8.0 is installed
I have installed a new version of site just to see if I am able to create the portfolio items the same time after time
Guess what , it still the same and changes the output randomly. Surely to god this is not how you wanted the product to work ?
I mean if a user does the exact same things when creating a portfolio item the result should be the same each and every time yes ???
Is there any paid support ? anyone who can help sort this out ?? this is really starting to get me ****** off.
Why could you not have just added a simple selection and then image fields to load the images into , throw in order control and that is one kick arse feature. As is its the main problem with the whole theme wish I had started by adding portfolio items instead of building up content.
April 2, 2014 at 5:22 am #28993Hey Duncan,
Can you give us access to your WordPress admin? And, FTP might be helpful.
Thanks.
April 2, 2014 at 5:53 am #28999OH I paid someone else to fix this
Theme co instructions to users are wrong
Select which kind of media you want to display for your portfolio. If selecting a “Gallery,” simply upload your images to this post and organize them in the order you want them to display.
This is not how to get gallery working, users need to simply click media upload there images and then close that window after the images have finished uploading. THEY DO NOT NEED TO EVER CLICK INSERT INTO POST EVER
Your instructions say insert into the content area, I found out over 4 days that this never ever worked.
However when I upload the images see them as being attached and then just close the image upload section the gallery works everytime.
That cost me $60 so where do I apply for the refund please ? ( yes I can happily provide you with an invoice)
April 3, 2014 at 10:06 am #29513Hi Duncan,
You do need to place your gallery into the content area. This is done via the “Add Media” button. You will need to use the WordPress Media Library “Create Gallery” option. I’ve tested this, and it’s still true with the latest version. I do apologize for any incorrect instructions. There have been some big changes regarding the portfolio items in recent updates, and we’re still working on updating our documentation.
“Add Media” is part of the content area controls, and will insert the gallery directly into the content.
I see now that you have two support tickets open for the same issue. Did you see our response over here? http://theme.co/x/member/forums/topic/portfolio-sliders/#post-29076
In the future, please don’t create duplicate tickets, especially if you’re just going to copy / paste the same responses. This risks wasting people’s time, and won’t really speed up the process.
Regarding your refund request. We don’t handle these directly, as you purchased this through ThemeForest. To be honest, refunds are not usually possible due to the digital nature of these products.
