    Hello,

This question is about portfolio mode in particular, but I guess it applies to the whole site.

I’m a freelance writer and sometimes I want to upload work I’ve done for clients as a sample. Sometimes their website is in beta mode, and they haven’t even posted the copy yet.

But I don’t want take their SEO benefits or to show up as the original.

If I upload the text as a PDF will Google scan it?

I’ve tried uploading it as a high-quality PNG, but some browsers like Internet Explorer lower the quality of the image.

I’ve also heard something about a canonical tag, but I’m not sure how to do it.

    Any advice.

I have the latest versions of WordPress and Cornerstone.

    Hi There,

    Thanks for writing in.

Not sure if google will scan it as text because there are no articles or facts stating that it is included in their algorithm.

Internet explorer does not lower the quality of images. You could try uploading it in hight quality or large width and height image because it does not have a lot of colors that could cause more memory.

You could try also adding an email form that will send your subscriber an email about your work.

    Hope it helps.

    THanks.
