SkeeterHarrisParticipantHi,
When I use Popup Maker on my site, the entire site goes to it’s knees with the plugin enabled. The minute I disable the plugin the performance comes right back up. Do you guys have any idea?
Here is where I have it implemented and I’ll send you my creds below

I will leave the plugin enabled but if you go in and turn it off watch the site jump in performance!
Thanks – Skeeter

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing in! It sounds like you might be having an issue with a third party plugin or script. Regretfully, we cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts as our support policy in the sidebar states due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script. Because of this, any questions you have regarding setup, integration, or troubleshooting any piece of functionality that is not native to X will need to be directed to the original developer.
Thank you for your understanding.

SkeeterHarrisParticipantHey Rupok,
Thanks for the response and YES I do understand. The good news if you want to call it that is that I got to the bottom of this and in the end, the plugin is just meant to have that many pop-ups defined on a site. There is an option that for each pop-up that you can define where it should be loaded at the page or post level, otherwise they all default to loading on each page, post, portfolio item into memory. So imagine 24 biographies and contact forms loading into memory on all content, no wonder over time my site would come to almost a complete halt. On top of that the further I got along to completing the site the worse the problem became!
Anyway – As you might imagine – Popup Maker is a getting deleted! Perhaps others will find this information useful and can avoid using this up front. I’ve lost many hours of this one!
Cheers!

JoaoModeratorHi There,
Thanks for your input.
Would our extension ConvertPlug suite your popup goals?
It comes bundled with X on Addons tab.

Hope it helps

SkeeterHarrisParticipantHey Joao,
Thank you for the suggestion of ConvertPlug, I saw it but not realize it did modal windows so I’m going to try it on the CTA pages and look at overall site performance and then may consider using it on the team member pop-ups.
Best wishes,
Skeeter
