Checking back in – it’s been 3+ months. Any solution yet? As it is right now, the popovers are not usable.
Chrome: 35.0.1916.114
June 1, 2014 at 4:33 am #50862Hey Mark,
Please give us details about your system. Popovers works fine on our end. Specifically Windows 8.1 and Chrome 35.0.1916.114 m on my end.
Thanks.
July 8, 2014 at 11:28 pm #66529The info doesn’t appear so i have to put the text into the title area – Problem #1.
Popover shows up AND THEN DISAPPEARS most times. – Problem #2.This is a serious Issue. This problem has been around since february and nothing has been done about this?
Step it up.July 8, 2014 at 11:43 pm #66536Mark I have been trouble shooting and i believe i know the problem/have the solution.
I think the problem arrises when you surround more than one object in the popover [extra]…[/extra]
Make sure you target only one specific element.I believe this is happening because the theme / program jumps back and forth between the multiple objects surrounded by [extra]…[/extra] and perhaps cannot decide on one to open up and or simply switches back and forth between them which causes the popover to close.
This is why if you come at it from a certain angle the popover/tooltip will infact stay open but rarely. I have provided 2 examples as a guide if you didn’t understand my explanation.
Example: This for me didn’t work (you can see that i have both an icon and a custom headline class surrounded by the popover.)
[extra title=”Read the ideas, thoughts, and opinions of your student-body and post your own unfiltered thoughts to your entire school.” info=”popover” info_place=”bottom” info_trigger=”hover”]
[icon type=”cloud-upload” style=”font-size:64px; color:#f26d3d;”]
[custom_headline class=”resp-h mvn” type=”center” level=”h2″ style=”color:#ffffff; text-shadow:2px 2px #000; display:inline-block;” accent=”true”]Discover[/custom_headline]
[/extra]Example: This does work as i removed the icon type from within [extra]…[/extra] and only have the headline targeted.
[icon type=”cloud-upload” style=”font-size:64px; color:#f26d3d;”]
[extra title=”Read the ideas, thoughts, and opinions of your student-body and post your own unfiltered thoughts to your entire school.” info=”popover” info_place=”bottom” info_trigger=”hover”]
[custom_headline class=”resp-h mvn” type=”center” level=”h2″ style=”color:#ffffff; text-shadow:2px 2px #000; display:inline-block;” accent=”true”]Discover[/custom_headline]
[/extra]July 9, 2014 at 8:25 pm #66935Hi Evan,
I tried with latest X shortcodes and it works okay, though note that if you hover to popover directly it will also trigger mouse-out which will hide it instantly.
Thank you.
September 12, 2014 at 10:19 am #103599we have a similar issue with the popovers, it especially occurs when the image size is so small, it flickers and moves on and off the “hover” state.
September 12, 2014 at 11:21 am #103649Hi Contigua,
Thank you for writing in!
I’m sorry to hear about the issue. Please provide us with your website’s URL so that we can take a closer look to the issue as I’m not experiencing it in our demo websites.
Thanks!

September 13, 2014 at 12:02 pm #104188Hi Contigua,
I seem to be seeing the same thing, let me investigate further. In the meantime you could try using X icon instead of an image. It looks like mouse out event were triggered when hovering at the very center of the image.
Thanks!
September 16, 2014 at 4:18 am #105611what is an X icon, where can i get it from ?
September 16, 2014 at 6:10 am #105646X icons are small icons from a font that accomplishes something similar to what you are trying to do. These two KB articles show different ways to use x icons.

CPFebruary 23, 2015 at 12:21 am #212660Hey CP,
I recommend that you open a separate thread because the longer threads get in the forum, they become more difficult to support as they tend to drift off topic and they also make it troublesome for users trying to search for solutions.
Please give us the URL of your site and access to your WordPress admin and FTP so we could login if needed.
Thanks!
