Hello, whenever I mouse over a button that has a popover, the popover appears for a split second and disappears. This happens 90% of the time. It can be frustrating when you want to read what the popover contains.
February 14, 2014 at 3:57 pm #14443Hey Peter,
what browser are you using (an exact version number would be really helpful to recreate this issue).
February 15, 2014 at 10:10 am #14614I am using the latest version of Google Chrome: Version 32.0.1700.107 m
February 15, 2014 at 11:06 am #14625Are you using windows or mac? I am on a mac on the latest chrome installation and everything seem to work just fine.
February 15, 2014 at 11:11 am #14627Hello! Yeah, I’ve noticed this as well. The flickering happens in Firefox, Chrome & Safari on my Mac Pro – all of which are running the latest versions.
This issue was done on my list, but since someone else has mentioned, I thought I’d add my experiences as well.
Thanks!
February 15, 2014 at 11:14 am #14628Thanks Michael we will look into this a but more.
February 15, 2014 at 12:54 pm #14642Just wanted to add another voice – I too experience the disappearing popovers. I am using the latest Chrome as well.
February 15, 2014 at 6:04 pm #14669Ive tried the examples explained here http://theme.co/x/demo/integrity/1/shortcodes/images/ and the popovers won’t show up at all ://
February 15, 2014 at 11:14 pm #14711Hey guys, thank you for voicing your feedback on this. As stated above, we will take a look into this as soon as we can. Thanks! P T, I would recommend trying to paste in the example codes from the site exactly into your page and simply replacing the image URL with your own, then you will be able to see how this is setup correctly. The following is a direct example from that page:
[image type="thumbnail" src="/media/x-img-demo-2.jpg" link="true" href="#example" info="popover" info_place="top" info_trigger="hover" info_content="Add in a little extra information here to describe the story behind your photographs!" title="Extra Information" alt="Example"]
Thanks!
February 16, 2014 at 1:21 am #14741Hey Support, thanks for the advice. I just tried the exact code and replaced the image with a local one and still got the same result. On hover I only see the title as if it were a standard html hyperlink
Cheers
PeterFebruary 16, 2014 at 1:41 am #14742Thank you for reporting back, this is really helping us to troubleshoot! We will get this fixed as soon as possible.
February 16, 2014 at 8:26 am #14793I am not using the popover on an image, I am using it on a button. It may also be worth mentioning that I am using Visual Composer.
February 16, 2014 at 8:59 am #14806Hey Guys,
We’ll get right back to this thread as soon as we have finished troubleshooting the issue.
Thank you for your understanding.
May 8, 2014 at 10:28 pm #42442Hello. I’m new to X and am having this same issue with all the latest versions of Chrome, Safari, and Firefox on Mac. Just wondering if there has been a fix or workaround for this.
Thanks,
Matt
