The site is extremely jerky when scrolling on Chrome. It works fine inFirefox/Safari/Edge and it works fine on Chrome when parallax is disabled. I’ve tried disabling all plugins, which had no effect. All the images have been optimized in both Photoshop and Karken.io. I’m also using total cache, following this article https://community.theme.co/kb/performance/ .
Any ideas on what I can try? Thank you

Thanks for posting in.
Hmm, looks like javascript related. It freezes on all my browser and not just chrome. Would you mind disabling the caching plugin first, then please provide your admin login credentials for testing.
Thanks!

It now freezes all my browsers, not just chrome. Maybe related to js memory leakage related to animation. Would you mind disabling all columns fade animation while we’re testing?
Thanks and let me know.
April 4, 2016 at 8:39 am #865904I disabled all columns fade. You’re right, it does seem to be doing the same in all browsers, I guess I didn’t notice it as it seems to be substantially worse in Chrome with parallax enabled.
April 4, 2016 at 4:32 pm #866621Hi Steven,
Thanks for updating the thread. The background images you’re using for parallax scrolling are too high in resolution that’s why browsers get stuck while scrolling. Please re-size your images to 1200 x 500px. This should fix the performance issue.
Let us know how this goes!
April 5, 2016 at 11:53 am #867911This worked.
I resized large images to 1200 X 800 and small images to 400 X 267, optimized for web via Photoshop and then at Kraken.io Solved all scrolling issues.
Sorry for wasting your time, I’m new to optimizing professional photos for the web. Thanks!
