I second Andrew’s take, no need to reinvent the wheel. Love, love the theme, but I do like using plugins that excel in their market (like woocommerce, VC, rev slider, gravity forms, etc) rather than taking a step backwards in functionality until proprietary plugins can be expanded. One thing about those plugins (and others including bbpress, etc) is they have even more plugins that expand their functionality which would be difficult for you guys to match (for example Ultimate Addon for VC).
It’s tough, because everyone has their list that they think need to be integrated, but I think some plugins are obvious who is the leader and ultimately it is up to you guys to decide if you support them or not.
October 5, 2015 at 2:31 pm #611900Oh and a great point raised by several above – yes – a LIGHTBOX would be supercalifragilisticexpialidocious π
October 5, 2015 at 2:32 pm #611906For someone who uses this theme for his blog, I use the plugin Advanced Content Templates by CGD daily or plugins like WP Review and WP Polls regularly.
October 5, 2015 at 2:32 pm #611908Thanks for reaching out to us and letting us vote on things like this. I agree that more major plugins should be more deeply integrated and theme Co should be focusing extensively on cornerstone and x development. I wish a basic Gravity Forms license could be included. That would be one heck of an arrangement. Smile. I love cornerstone and I love X and I love that major plugins are included. I would tend to lean away from expending unnecessary energy on redundant functionality that could be achieved through plugin that already exists and is well supported, for instance popup maker is a great plugin but content dock probably is a waste of your time, since it’s a waste of mine. Not trying to sound rude at all. I really appreciate all the work everyone has put into this, x and cornerstone have literally changed my life. But since you asked me to weigh in honestly on the future, these are my two cents. Thanks for letting us be a part of the direction of the future of X.
October 5, 2015 at 2:33 pm #611909I’d love to see Ubermenu integration.
October 5, 2015 at 2:36 pm #611916Definitely vote for custom functionality, that will lessen the code that breaks with updates and that way you can spend more time on X!
As for the top two:

FormsPreferably custom made
October 5, 2015 at 2:40 pm #611922Hey everybody,
Just chiming in here to take the first round of responses. Remember that we might not be able to respond to everything, but we definitely take note of everything mentioned.
FrogStoneMedia, great thoughts on lending support to extensions of core plugins like WooCommerce. Appreciate the input!
Andrew, thanks for chiming in and just to clarify, our ultimate goal is to have Cornerstone be available to all themes. We think Visual Composer does a lot of great things, but we also saw a lot of big gaps that we wanted to fill as well as improve upon and we’re looking forward to continuing to do that as well as bringing all of that to new themes. Regarding the slider in Cornerstone and comparing it to Revolution Slider, this is more of an “apples and oranges” situation: one is intended for very simple image based sliders with a few functionality settings whereas Revolution Slider is geared towards creating highly interactive sliders that integrate with animations, timing functions, et cetera. The slider in Cornerstone has been an element in X from the beginning just as we have integrated with Revolution Slider from the beginning to provide options to our users for those who need it (as Revolution Slider is not the best choice for a simple image slider, et cetera). Hopefully that helps to clear things up a bit in that regard!
Cheshire I, great thoughts on backup plugins. Any ideas how you can imagine them integrating with X more specifically?
VisitWhanganui, we appreciate the kind words and thoughts. The categories mentioned are definitely very large categories on their own with some great players taking on the big problems in these areas, so for things like this we might be more inclined to find excellent third party providers that we can tightly work with.
Matt Frost, suggestions like Essential Grid are great for things that you feel work well out of the box and would simply like to see included in X to assist you in your needs. Great feedback! Regarding any timelines for all this, we’ll see what we can do after this poll closes out and we’ve had time to assimilate it all and chart our way forward. π
I’ve got quite a few notes here on gallery and lightbox type functionality as well, this has all been taken down. π
Again, if you’ve simply listed some things, please know we’ve definitely noted those and everything will be reviewed by our team. Don’t forget to also provide some thoughts on why you feel these are great plugins as well!
October 5, 2015 at 2:45 pm #611929I’d like to see more custom functionality in portfolios. E.g. how you can sort them and how you can display more detail even before going to the individual page of the portfolio item.
Simplicity and clean design is great and that’s why fewer integrations with bigger players is what I voted in question 2. WP Google Maps is such a plugin, one that is super useful and provides many more options than the current map features of X.
I think you could also venture beyond design and help with security and/or speed – say integrate iThemes and/or CloudFlare to some extent, by having some pre-sets ready for X users.
Thank you for running this poll π

October 5, 2015 at 2:57 pm #611944Hi guys,
We would like to see the following:
– UberMenu
– WooCart Pro
– WooCommerce extensions: memberships, bookings, dynamic pricing etcAlso, an expanded WooCommerce store demo would be so great. I’m sure your team would make a awesome WooCommerce shortcodes and Cornerstone integration. Have in mind that many agencies have lot of work due to the rising e-commerce sites demand, and that would be a great X theme selling argument π
All the best,
October 5, 2015 at 3:11 pm #611968Hi.
Thanks for asking… πAn integration with Woo SenseΓ― and Easy Digital Download would be great. The first one having my preference.
Cheers !
EricOctober 5, 2015 at 3:13 pm #6119691. Types & Views or Pods, good custom post type/custom fields integration
2. Event Expresso would be very nice
3 Formidable Pro (my favorite form) or better Gravity integration or Calendra FormsOctober 5, 2015 at 3:21 pm #611970Additional integration that would be interesting to see :
The Events Calendar by Tri.be
UberMenu
White Label Login (custom modal login)Regards,
BOctober 5, 2015 at 3:22 pm #611972This is not as simple as a yes/no or either/or question(s). Each site is different and may require plugins that aren’t available in the theme or through Jetpack. Therefore, sometimes you need additional plugins. For example, we’re attempting to add a glossary of terms to a website using Creative Mind’s Tooltip Glossary Pro. Some themes this plugin works great, with others it causes problems and messes up the theme’s hooks and requiring custom programming.
October 5, 2015 at 3:29 pm #6119772 plugins I would love to see integrated in some way:
Events Manager (not as pretty as others, but feature-rich, esp. the pro version)
Team Showcase (or some sort of team/staff display plugin or option) -
