I have a blog site that was using the free basic theme. I installed the x Theme and Ethos child theme. After installing, I was directed to install some plug-ins. There are no pictures appearing in the carousal or revolution slider. I have received these errors and I hope you can help. I am pretty new to this.
I assume it is because of this:
Revolution Slider will not install and Visual Composer will not activateWarning: require_once(/home7/parentx7/public_html/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/composer/include.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home7/parentx7/public_html/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/js_composer.php on line 89
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error
Warning: require_once(/home7/parentx7/public_htmlwp-content/plugins/js_composer/composer/include.php):failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home7/parents/public_htmlwp-content/plugins/js_composer/js_composer.php on line 89URL

In this case, please give us access to your WordPress admin and FTP or cPanel so we could see your setup in the back-end.
Thanks.

Thank you for writing in!
Instead of installing the plugins from WordPress dashboard, please try installing them using FTP. Simply go to wp-content/themes/x/framework/plugins/, you will find .zip archives of all three plugins, simply extract them and copy the folders in WordPress plugins folder, i.e. wp-content/plugins/
Then activate the plugins. If you still face activation issue, you could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
Hope this helps. 🙂
Thank you.
August 30, 2014 at 9:26 pm #95544When I purchased this theme there was an option to pay to have someone install it. This is way over my head. How do I go about that?
August 30, 2014 at 10:06 pm #95558Hi there,
Would you mind providing a url that offer payment option for someone to install it? I can’t remember option like that and I can’t confirm it either. People are off during weekend 🙂
For the meantime, have you tried installing it with ftp? FTP is like a file manager, you can manage folder and file just the way you manage your files at your local machine, and ftp is use to remotely manage files from your server.
Extract those zip package and just copy and paste the extracted folder under wp-content/plugins just as the instructions given above.
If you can provide ftp access then maybe I can do quick checking for other problems like permission.
Thank you.
