bedingfieldParticipantHi there,
I am running a child theme based on ‘Renew’ but for some reason a plugin I need to use for my club – WP Athetics, does not work with X. When I click on setttings it says ‘Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.’
Now, I have installed said plugin on the ‘twenty seventeen’ theme and it works fine. I also disabled my plugins in X and still get the ‘Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.’Any ideas? This plugin in is all I need to complete the site.
Thank you,

ChristianModeratorHey there,
This has something to do with your website optimization. Please try clearing all caches and deactivate all third party plugins then check again. If that doesn’t help, keep all third party plugins deactivated while we investigate.
Thanks.

bedingfieldParticipantHi there,
I have deactivated but still get the same error with the plugin. I have left them deactivated.
Thank you.

RadModeratorHi there,
I activated 2017 Theme and the issue is still there, hence, it’s not because of X theme. You have 3 active plugins, I deactivated the two leaving just WP Athletics plugin there, and the issue remains. It’s related to this https://wordpress.org/support/topic/wp-admin-sorry-you-are-not-allowed-to-access-this-page/ and could happen anytime. Please try the suggested workaround on that page. Could be related to database or table prefix as mentioned. I suggest reaching out to your hosting provider too as they are more familiar with your site’s setup.
Thanks!
