I’ve tried to look thru the site for an answer to this, but did not find one.
Currently (using renew) the cart only shows up as a item on the menu “bun” which makes it a bit hard to find on the mobile. To improve customer experience I would like to place the cart outside the menu, at the top of the page (under or above menu does not matter). Is this possible in X/renew? The cart does not need to be removed from the menu, it’s OK for it to show up there as well, if that makes things easier.
March 30, 2016 at 2:41 am #858291Hey there,
Thanks for writing in! Regretfully this isn’t a feature offered by X. It could be possible with custom development or with a plugin, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities. Thanks for understanding. Take care!

March 30, 2016 at 6:43 pm #859734Hi there,
Yes, noted that. The cart is integrated through the menu, if you wish to move it outside then what you need is another integration. Unfortunately, it will not be as easy as moving the code, and that requires styling and javascript coding to work too.
I’ll add this to our list, but if you wish to continue then you may need to consult it to a developer. Woocommerce integration functions are available at /wp-content/themes/x/framework/functions/plugins/woocommerce.php
Thanks for understanding.
April 1, 2016 at 4:04 am #862279That’s fine, it is not super critical but I still think it would be a good idea as a future enhancement. You do get the Woo notice for the cart on the mobile when you add a product, but if you don’t react to that one, it takes a bit of looking to locate the cart (at least for me it’s a bit un-intuitive that it is in the “bun”. I think it might reduce “abandoned cart” rates on mobile?
