I need help with two different topics.

First, “placeholder” is appearing on my homepage in several spots where I once I had pictures (it doesn’t show when editing in cornerstone, just when viewing the site).

Second, how could I use the video slider settings from the Ethos 3 demo page? This doesn’t appear to transfer with other demo content.
    Thanks!

    Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! Regarding the first issue, two things to check would be, caching both via plugins and your host/server side settings. This could be interfering with your changes and is recommended to be cleared and switched off whenever you are updating or working on your site. It can be re-enabled with site goes back live.

Another area to check is Cornerstone’s skeleton mode. If these placeholder areas appear, you may need to check the row or section they are in to see if visibility options are enabled. Sections and Row elements have a Hide based on screen width visibility option. This allows you to create different layouts for different views by hiding elements in other views.

If you imported a demo or template that uses visibility options, this could be the reason why some placeholders are appearing.

Regarding the slider query, unlike the expanded demos, those settings don’t come with standard demos. You need to have a slider setup for that and set the created slider as an option for being above the masthead.

You can follow this post to see how to do it. It may be for other demos, but it will work the same way.

Let us know how that goes. Hope this helps – thanks!
