WordPress 4.7.2

Cornerstone Installed Version 1.3.3Hello,
I would like to show only for small devices (480 px or smaller) pictures and for other devices (481px and more) vidéos.
Here is the two problems that I have :
1. For the slider “Above Masthead” I would like to show à picture only for small devices (481px). Currently the picture is shown also for bigger devices like tablet. How can I manage the switch between picture and video ? Please find in attachments my currents settings.
2. For sections “Call to action” and “Call to action 1” I tried the same thing using cornerstone. “Call to action” is a video dedicated for all devices bigger than 481 px and “Call to action 1) is for small devices. I use the “Hide based on screen width” to manage what should appear but it does not work when I test it on tablet and mobile. Instead of a picture or a video I have a gray rectangle.
What should I do to solve this two problems ?
Thank you in advanceMarch 2, 2017 at 7:06 pm #1392722
NicoModeratorHi There,
Thanks for writing in.
1. You could follow the link below on how to use poster image on mobile.
https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/revolution-slider-on-mobile-and-another-on-desktop/
2.Please share us your admin credentials so we could check your setup closer. Don’t forget to set it as private reply.
Thanks.

LelyModeratorHi There,
1.) Perhaps you forgot the attachment? It would be better to share your admin credentials on a private reply so we can check.
2.)Can you give us screenshot too? I did check your homepage on mobile and didn’t see the gray rectangle. Please clarify which section it is.

RadModeratorHi there,
Please try adding your video as slider layer. Background video will not autoplay in mobile as mobile browser restriction. It needs user interaction to play it, and you can also try adding poster/cover image.
Thanks!

E-Marketing MixParticipantHello thank you for your first answer.
How do I can resize the video in order to have the same aspect as when it was in background (full width) ?Thanks !

E-Marketing MixParticipantHello I managed to resize the video by myself, it’s ok.
Now my problem is that, on mobile device, I need to click on the video to launch it, even if the autoplay is on.
And on my tablet, I don’t have a video at all but a grey area like my previous attachments. Thanks for your help

RadModeratorHi there,
Autoplay is not applicable for mobile, it’s mobile browser standard. The user needs to interact with the video to play it.
I checked and it still a background video, it will still not play. I checked it on tablet and it’s not grey, but displaying poster image.
Thanks!

E-Marketing MixParticipantHi Rad,
It’s Background video when you are on Extra Large device (1200px & Up) and it’s a video player for all the other devices. I hide each section thanks to cornerstone.
Well, it’s ok if there is a poster on mobile devices, but I would like a video on tablet. Is it possible ?
Thanks!

JoaoModeratorHi There,
At the moment WP doesn´t differ mobile from other touch devices like tablet.
I do agree with you. It is something that should change soon considering the amount of touch devices populating in the market.
For now you would need to use a video element instead of a video background on tablets as well.
Let us know if you need help with anything else.
