Hidy-ho folks,
Cornerstone 1.01
X 4.01
WP 4.2.2
PHP5.6Just getting started with Cornerstone on my personal site (looks awesome, by the way, convinced my boss to buy a license for a new project based on it alone). Here’s what happened:
Created page.
Went to edit in Cornerstone.
Realized I needed to make a change in Customizer
Went to Settings tab in Cornerstone
Clicked Customizer
Clicked the link provided to open the customizer.
Received Internal Server Error 500 page.Checked my PHP logs. Found the following:
[Tue Jun 02 23:16:53.481023 2015] [fcgid:warn] [pid 4721] (104)Connection reset by peer: [client [That'sMyIP]:49191] mod_fcgid: error reading data from FastCGI server, referer: https://www.[domainobscuredbecausereasons].ca/?page_id=8&cornerstone=1 [Tue Jun 02 23:16:53.481081 2015] [core:error] [pid 4721] [client [That'sMyIP]:49191] End of script output before headers: customize.php, referer: https://www.[domainobscuredbecausereasons].ca/?page_id=8&cornerstone=1

June 3, 2015 at 1:08 pm #291274Hi Allen,
Thanks for writing in.
Looks like I will need to check your setup directly. I can’t really confirm your issues from that.
Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password
– FTP credentialsDon’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.
Thanks!

August 28, 2015 at 6:20 pm #372572@smartfirm, If you search on “Customizer update Internal Server Error” you will find a lot of us have had this trouble with Customizer since, I’m guessing, X v.4 came out. All Themeco will tell us to do is work it out with our hosting service. If you have found the secret key, please don’t keep it to yourself!
August 29, 2015 at 5:27 am #372883Hi There,
@glscheid, He might installed cornerstone incorrectly. If something happened to you like this, try to reinstall your cornerstone properly or contact your host, these issues were related to directory permissions, seeing that I canβt done any, even using the wordpress itself. Then that means, your http server (eg. apache) does not have permission to write into those folders. Which means, WordPress/PHP will have problem too as it runs on http server.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.
