    Hi There,

By default parallax is disable on mobile. Please check this link for detailed explanation:https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/parallax-on-mobile-devices-not-working/#post-315484. It’s the same for visual composer and Cornerstone. It is disabled for mobile.

    Hey there,

Parallax is disabled in mobile devices for performance reasons. It it technically possible to enable it however, that would require custom development which falls outside the scope of our support. You might want to contact our trusted partners who caters X setup and customization needs. Please see https://community.theme.co/custom-development/

    Thank you for understanding.

I’ve also got a disaster going with a client wanting parallax to work on mobile. She sees this site on Squarespace http://www.limitlesscapmgmt.com which has wonderful parallax on mobile and also wants it.

Enabling currently broken-on-mobile version on X-theme is no solution.

So the solution is to use Squarespace? Really??

I add my vote that this be something that themeco decides is worth the effort of fixing. I love X-theme other than this.

    Hi there,

Noted that and added it as a feature request. Parallax is intentionally disabled in code level and to enable it is through coding too. Or yes, you may use Squarespace.

    Thanks for understanding.

Thanks for noting my feature request! Having that acknowledged is more result than I would get most places.

I’ve looked into the issue a little and found a few similar comments bemoaning the lack of parallax on other products. I see now that when it is a mobile device you pretty much have to use CSS transforms to do the job.

For anyone else interested in “rolling their own” here are a couple of good resources that I found:

    http://keithclark.co.uk/articles/pure-css-parallax-websites/demo3/ Demonstrates the basic concept

    and

http://prinzhorn.github.io/skrollr/ is an open source project, actually for css animation but demo’ed as parallax.

    Cheers,
    Gregory
