    Wordpress version 4.1.1
    X version 3.2.2
    X Shortcodes version 3.0.4

My entire front page stopped having the parallax effect after upgrading. I notice that there is not an upgrade for Visual Composer as well. The version of visual composer X is using has been update for quite some time and is know n to not play nice with WordPress 4.0

At any rate would like to get this fixed asap

    Hello,

    Thanks for posting in!

Upon checking your site, the parallax effects is displaying fine on our end. Please try to clean your browser cache and/or plugin cache. You can test it by using Chrome’s incognito mode or Firefox’s Private browsing window.

    Hope this helps.

Definitely is not working. I’ve checked on 3 different computers, all four major browsers and had 3 people in 3 different parts of the world check. When you scroll down the page everything is stacked one on top of the other. There is not that scroll effect where the image reveals itself as you scroll down the image gets larger etc. This was working fine now it’s just stopped working. I’m not sure what parallax effect you are speaking of but for what I’m speaking of it simply is not there. This worked fine until 3.2.2. and now it doesn’t. NOTHING changed on the page outside of text. Every column and all of the settings have stayed the same.

    Hi,

I am a different staff member and I also could not replicate the issue.
Your parallax is working fine at my end.

Can you try one of our demo site and see if the parallax is working at your end.

    Thanks

yeah your demo works fine.. the effect of the dude in the biz suit with the shortcodes is the effect that’s not working on my site. also on mobile nothing is coming up as responsive. I’m not sure what effect you are talking about but the effect happening on your demo site is not happening on my site at all.. and in mobile its a mess. It looks the same way on ios and android. it’s not just me.

Another thing, it’s troubling to me that this theme is running so far behind on visual composer. This latest update yesterday took it 4.3.5 but they’ve updated since that was released months ago. They’re currently on 4.4.3

I’ve updated to 3.2.3. 3.0.5 for the shortcode plugin and it’s still not working. I don’t know what the deal is. Once I get half way down the page none of the rows are responsive. it looks horrible on mobile, and the parallax scrolling effect does not work.

    Hi there,

Your parallax works on our end. Please your browser cache used for those computers. Here is a video showing that : https://cloudup.com/c1KzFDHaoSa

I tested your site on multiple computers too and it works just fine.

And the visual composer’s version you’re referring is the latest update directly from WPBakery. If you wish to get updates from them, then you may buy a license from them. The latest bundled plugin that comes with X theme is visual composer 4.3.5. And it’s our responsibility to update it since it’s bundled to X theme. And as of now, it’s the latest version that comes from us that is also compatible with latest X theme. X theme license isn’t entitled to be use as visual composer’s license, but just allowing you to use bundled plugin(fully functional as the licensed version) for free.

    Thanks for understanding.

So if I buy the visual composer plugin it will or won’t work with the X theme?

This is insanely frustrating for me. What browser is that? Mac or Windows? I don’t see how it’s working for you, when it’s not working for anyone else.

    Hi There,

Please refer to this KB article for a detailed explanation. That article goes into detail about the ins and outs of working with 3rd party plugins like VC as it is unique compared to any other 3rd party plugin we integrate with at this time.

I am also another staff member from another part of the world and can 100% verify that the parallax is working on the home page (on a Mac) just as it is in the video above. Multiple people on our team from various points on various machines in the world have accessed it and it is loading just as it should. It sounds like perhaps it could be a browser cache issue on your end. Beyond that, regretfully we can’t assess something that is working for everyone who is accessing it.

    Thank-you.

it’s really not a browser cache issue.. unless several different people accessing it from a windows machine all have the same browser cache issue. The parallax thing doesn’t work on my android phone either, so I’m thinking perhaps it works on Mac Safari and nothing else because I’ve found nobody that says its works… except you guys.

Please don’t ask me to clear my browser cache. I’ve done that and it’s a stretch to believe that the same issue effecting my laptop and the laptop of my client, and several others who have checked is also effecting my phone. I give up though. I’ve customized hundreds of themes, developed some of my own and none that I’ve dealt with are as frustrating to me as this one. I’ll just move him to a different theme. I appreciate the help your support is top notch, but I’ve wasted far too much time on this and it’s just making me look bad to my client who is 600 miles away from me and see’s the exact same thing I do.

    Hey there,

I am another member of the X Support team and I have Windows 7 and 8 and the latest Chrome, Firefox and also have IE9 and IE10. I have checked on all those browsers and your parallax works. Parallax is disabled in mobile though for performance. We’ll be sad to see you go but if you decide to give X another try, we’re here to help.

    Thank you.
