How do I implement a parallax page such as http://mckennawoolley.com/#sthash.LJrnVi7k.dpbs which has multiple static backgrounds? I can only make one stationary background (page background). Yes, I set each section to parallax.

It would be great if you had a parallax demo page that could be loaded in Cornerstone.

    Thanks.

    Hi Mike,

We have many similar demo content that you can load to your site.

    Please check it out -https://theme.co/x/demos/

Then check the link below on how you can load it to your site.

    Hope that helps.

I know about the demo content, but I need a specific example of the parallax effect in the website I referenced. If the effect in the link I provided is in an X demo, please tell me which demo. Also, I need an example of that parallax in Cornerstone and not all of the demos are in Cornerstone.

I reviewed many of the demos (most I’ve seen before) I cannot find one example of the parallax effect I’m looking for, so it seems like you just gave me a quick generic response. Can you please go to this website http://mckennawoolley.com/#sthash.LJrnVi7k.dpbs and then point me to the specific demo that shows that, or if there is no demo like that, tell me how to do this in Cornerstone.

Keep in mind, many of the parallax posts (that were answered) are old and are for shortcodes and CSS fixes. I need specific help for Cornerstone. I’m not using Visual Composer or shortcodes in my X theme websites – as you recommend.

Just saw my renewal pricing. You can read my other post. For that money, I expect much better support, like, actually read my question, look at the URL I gave you, and give me some real help here. Even if I could Google the answer and/or figure this all out, I expect X Theme to save me time and effort.

If you actually have a parallax demo that actually does what the link does – as you claim above – then why didn’t you supply me the link to that demo instead of asking me to go through dozens to find it, or actually not find it, because I could not.

    Hi Mike,

To use parallax in Cornerstone, please add background image to a section. Then set Parallax property to ON. Add the content inside the section. See this video screencast for sample: http://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cDnXcChShs

    Hope this helps.

We’re not communicating and it seems you aren’t reading my posts. In my first post I said “Yes, I set each section to parallax.” We’re past that.

You said “We have many similar demo content that you can load to your site.” and I asked you specifically where to find them. You did not answer that question. And you did not tell me you actually looked at the website I linked you to.

We’re not getting anywhere with this except extreme frustration.

    Hi Mike,

Sorry, we don’t know the username or email to reset the password.

To create similar effect kindly do the following.

    1. Create a new page and select no container template under page attributes

    http://screencast.com/t/p2x4fvLMGwC

    2. Create 5 sections in your page.

    http://screencast.com/t/rg2xG71js

    3. Add a background image and min-height to each section, and alternately enable parallax.

    ie. Section 1
    – add background image
    enable parallax
    – add min-height:350px; in the style field of your section

    Section 2
    – add background image
    disable parallax
    – add min-height:350px; in the style field of your section

    Section 3
    – add background image
    enable parallax
    – add min-height:350px; in the style field of your section

    Section 4
    – add background image
    disable parallax
    – add min-height:350px; in the style field of your section

    Section 5
    – add background image
    enable parallax
    – add min-height:350px; in the style field of your section

You may change the min-height of each section to achieve your desired result.

    Hope that helps

Works exactly as needed. The missing link was knowing to use alternating parallax sections with minimum heights. The technique is very simple – as I thought it would be. The hard part was getting here after 3 days.

Not sure why this wasn’t a one answer and out. I thought it was cut and dry and obviously it was – you just needed to look at the website link I provided and it was obviously clear to you what I needed.

Thanks for providing the recipe though – I’m happy about that.

    Hello There,

Sorry for the inconvenience. Our forum response time can take up to 24 hours Monday through Friday and can be longer on the weekends. There are times that it would take several days before the issue can be resolve. Just for future topics, self responding or bumping your post pushes it back in our Queue system so it takes longer to respond to also.

We’re just glad that finally the last reply really helps a lot.
Thank you very much for your understanding.
