    Hello,

    I’ve tried several troubleshooting steps to resolve an issue where both parallax and video backgrounds do not work. Right now I have Parallax enabled at: https://bcagentmatch.com/betahome/

    I’ve tried:
    updating theme
    disabling all plugins
    removing all custom CSS

    Nothing seems to work unfortunately! Any ideas?

    Hey Roman,

    Parallax works on my end. I don’t see what section you setup the background video though. Please point us to the section or give a screenshot.

    Are you using a laptop with touchscreen? If so, that is the case as it is treated as a mobile device and parallax and background video is disabled in mobile devices for performance reasons.

    Hi Christian. Thanks for checking. Yes, it is a laptop with a touchscreen. I just changed the first section (the one formerly parallax) to a video background and it is not displaying unfortunately.

    Just checked again on a non touch computer and it works – anyways to make it so it’s video on laptops/desktops than parallax on touch laptops?

    Hello There,

    Thanks for updating in! You can only have it one at a time. It is either a background video or a background image with parallax effect. Regretfully there isn’t any feature in X that you can have both effects in different screen sizes. It could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities.
