Hey guys, I’ve been creating a web site using X and I’ve loved the features so far. However, now that the US site is complete I created a multi-site network and saved templates of each page on the US site, so that I could use them on the sub region sites and swap out text per language but the templates arent appearing.
Please help!
-Thanks!

August 5, 2014 at 4:07 pm #78506Do you need me to take a screenshot of the template not appearing?
Basically, on the US site Ive created a homepage and saved it as a template.
Then, I go to the Spain site and when I look for that template it does not appear.
Does this mean I have to recreate every single site from scratch?

Visual Composer’s saved templates are only available on its current site. And will not be available on global network. All you could do is open you site where templates were saved, and copy them to your other site.
Thank you.
August 6, 2014 at 5:20 pm #79205That would be amazing! How do I copy them though? I need to do it in a away that isnt, for example, a straight html code copy and paste, so that I can still use thte VC for updating the pages later on
August 6, 2014 at 6:04 pm #79240Hi Eric,
You could create temporary page at your site where templates were saved. And from that temporary page, switch to visual composer and insert the template you wish to use. And then switch back to classic editor and copy the entire content.
On target site, you could paste the copied content in classic editor too and switch to visual composers again.
Hope this helps.

Are you sure you’re using X theme on both sites? It looks like twentyfourteen theme. Would you mind providing url and login?
Thanks!

As long as all the same theme and plugins are activated on each site, everything would import as desired. You’d have all of the same pages, with the same layouts and content.
Seems way easier than any other solution IMO.

PS: That image shows you don’t have X activated on the second site. Make sure it’s “Network Enabled” in your Super-Admin area, and then activate the theme from within that second site’s dashboard.
August 6, 2014 at 7:35 pm #79315Hi Eric,
Charlie’s solution is good too. Since you’re just changing some wording, export/import is the best option for your sites.
I added your IP and domain to my host file, but I’m getting Service Temporarily Unavailable. For the mean time, please ensure that you’re using X theme per site, and enable your plugins at your network admin.
Thanks!
