contact@gmhansen.comParticipantHey there, I’ve been reading through the documentation on outdated WooCommerce Template errors, and I’ve got a problem: The fact that my template is outdated is stopping me from using the WooCommerce API to connect to a company called Scalable Press.
I believe it’s possible to patch my outdated template files up to the current ones, but I don’t know how, and I don’t want to break anything. Could I get some advice from anyone on getting it done correctly?
Here are the files that are apparently out of date:
x/woocommerce/cart/cross-sells.php version 1.6.4 is out of date. The core version is 2.7.0,
x/woocommerce/single-product/product-image.php version 2.6.3 is out of date. The core version is 2.7.0,
x/woocommerce/single-product/product-thumbnails.php version 2.6.3 is out of date. The core version is 2.7.0,
x/woocommerce/single-product/related.php version 1.6.4 is out of date. The core version is 2.7.0,Thanks in advance!

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for writing in! As of the moment, we are still have to roll out the upcoming update release so that this issue can be addressed. Meanwhile, you can simply edit the 4 mentioned file right in your x theme’s folder. The best thing to do is to have a child theme. A child theme allows you to make code changes that won’t be overwritten when an X update is released. After your child theme is setup, please review how we recommend making template changes in Customization Best Practices.
Once you have the child theme ready, please do the following steps:
#1] Please create awoocommercefolder in your child theme specificallywp-content/themes/x-child/woocommerce/
#2] Please copy the updated WooCommerce template files from this folder:wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/templates/cart/cross-sells.php wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/templates/single-product/product-image.php wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/templates/single-product/product-thumbnails.php wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/templates/single-product/related.php#3] You will need to upload this files to your child theme’s folder, specifically;
wp-content/themes/x-child/woocommerce/cart/cross-sells.php wp-content/themes/x-child/woocommerce/single-product/product-image.php wp-content/themes/x-child/woocommerce/single-product/product-thumbnails.php wp-content/themes/x-child/woocommerce/single-product/related.phpHope this helps. Kindly let us know.

contact@gmhansen.comParticipantThanks very much for the response. The error codes DID go away without any trouble, but I’m still getting the message that my WooCommerce version isn’t supported along with a prompt to update to the latest version.
I checked in on WooCommerce’s website to try and download the latest version. They download that they prompted was version 2.6.14. But when I check on my WooCommerce System Status page on the WP Dashboard, it says that I’m running with Version 2.7.0.
Do you know if X Theme is using a slightly different version of WooCommerce or something? Why would I see version 2.7.0 when WooCommerce doesn’t even seem to have updated that far? Or am I missing something?
I’m trying to contact Scalable Press’s support because I know that they’re going to have answers to this error that you guys couldn’t possibly have access to. But I want to cover as much ground in the mean time as I can.
Thanks for the help!

LelyModeratorHello There,
Thank you for the URL.
Please try to install 2.6.14. There’s changes in the Woocommerce repository we’re using at the moment. Woocommerce are now using this too for their beta and that’s why you’re getting 2.7.0. Right now the best way to install Woocommerce would be to use wordpress.org https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce/ or install via the wp-admin > plugins > add new, search for “woocommerce”. We’re sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. Rest assured that our developers are informed about this. Thank you for understanding.March 3, 2017 at 5:34 pm #1393858
