Just wondered what an optimum image size should be uploaded into the media files? (I want to get ahead by uploading a whole batch of optimised images ready for X to keep and scale as required.)

My last theme was 640px wide but it seems that the sliders here (etc) need more like 1200px.

Should I resize my images (from large originals) to 1200px wide? (Then I’ll compress them using RIOT within irfran view).

Hi there,

The featured image size should be around 1200 px* 750px.
Slider image width should be between 1400px and 1600px.

Before uploading images please optimize them to reduce their size.
