    Hi Atahulpa,

    I have forwarded this customisation over to Kory who is part of the Dev team for Theme.co, and i am guessing they are interested in developing into the theme.

    The customisation with the plugins were temperamental with the theme, and required a bit of code customisation to get working smoothly.

    So bear all this in mind.

    Plugins used:
    http://codecanyon.net/item/ninja-kick-sidebar-custom-content/6796296

    http://codecanyon.net/item/ninja-kick-sidebar-contact-form/6598780

    Contact form is as standard, but can change a lot of settings.
    sidebar custom content is very flexible, and you can put anything in there via html, shortcodes, or using widgets.

    I hope you find them useful, and wish you luck for a clean and trouble free install should you choose to use them.

    Regards
    Adam

    Hi Guys,

    Here is what i have been upto.

    This is a very good guide to speeding up your website that i spent a lot of weeks tweaking everything just so people can use WP Super cache.

    —————————————————-

    Good news for you is i have been working on optimising X with W3 Total cache, of which i now have running on my website. And is being tested thoroughly before giving my ultimate recommendation for setup.

    Something to bear in mind when creating your website are, size of images, how many additional plugins your website uses, and also one of the biggest benefits is having your website loaded through cloudflare a free CDN to speed up your website.

    I now utilise the paid version of cloudflare again for testing with W3 Total Cache.

    If you want to check out our website to see speed increases go here http://www.a2bdesigners.com

    @adam,

    I’ve been puzzled by Google PageSpeed.

    I keep getting the “Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content” even when I have Autoptimize installed, which I thought deferred the scripts?

    I’ve also tried to use a separate plugin to defer the scripts to the footer, but that doesn’t seem to work. It defers the scripts, but it stops the slider from working and the script used to open/close the accordion.

    Thoughts?

    I’ve setup W3 Total Cache and am using Amazon Cloudfront. All seemed to go ok except my header and footer are wacked. Any ideas?

    Turn off minify CSS. I’ve always had issues with W3TC css minify.

    Autoptimize seems to handle the minification better.

    I thought I had minify shut off but found that the css was checked. Turned it off and saved but no love. Do I need to reload files to Amazon?

    Hi Guys,

    @Armen
    Hi buddy, in the Autoptimize setting if you click the advanced button at the top you will have options to defer scripts, once enabled click save and clear cache. Clear any other caches you may have. Also there is an option at the bottom to store static scripts. This should help.

    @dans
    Really sorry to here your troubles, please disable all css mods, then clear cache on W3 Total cache, then re-sync files / cache clear at amazon.

    I have no experience with amazon cloud servers, so i hope you know your way round.

    It is minification off your css, that is causing the issue.

    Also if your are using minify on W3 Total cache, disable it as you will be doing this at the Amazon cloud service, or you will end up with conflicts. Let amazon do all the minify.

    **NOTE TO ALL IF USING CLOUDFLARE, AMAZON, MAXCDN AND YOU HAVE MINIFY ACTIVATED ON THOSE, DISABLE MINFY ON ANY WORDPRESS CACHE PLUGIN.

    Happy optimizing all

    Thanks for the info. Think I need to start over. One of the things bugging me is when I check something off and save it, when I go back the box is no longer checked. Don’t know if the setting has been changed or not. I’ve purged, deleted, unchecked minify a number of a times with no love. Disabled the plugin and all is back to normal. Maybe the 2nd time around will be the charm

    Hi Dan,

    It’s also possible that you need to clear the W3TC cache after disabling minification.

    Looks like more of an issue with Amazon.
    Did a whole new install of W3 and a new bucket/distribution on Amazon.
    Without the cdn everything was fine. Once I added Amazon it went all wonky

    FWIW I enabled minify–without cdn. Page looks fine. Load time went from 7 secs to 4 secs. And from 78% slower to 34% slower than other sites on pingdom. I’ll let sleeping dogs lie for now

    Hi Dan,

    Then that must be an issue with Amazon, you can contact them about the issue or you can just keep it without that.

    Thanks
