On my dev and live multi-site installs I have X 4.3 installed. Neither of them are showing an update available for my X Theme.
Any advice?
March 31, 2016 at 3:52 pm #861451I’m having this same issue. And you can’t do it manually by deleting X and installing the new one because that would involve changing every subsite to a different theme (even when using child themes), which would be a HUGE pain plus unacceptable. Please provide a solution for this. I suspect that remaining with 4.3.1 is causing a whole slew of issues I’m having with Cornerstone on every site currently.

Unfortunately due to the nature of multi-site, the automatic update may or may not work intermittently. X automatic update will only work where X theme is active since the code is in it. And since network admin is just an admin with no active theme, then there is no way for theme’s code to run, the code that checks validation and updates. The theme needs to run for update check to work.
For now, please do updates manually.
Thanks.
April 2, 2016 at 1:06 pm #863973Hi! Is there any way to update theme from validated site admin (not from network admin)?
April 3, 2016 at 2:50 pm #864951Not possible with multi-site, all updates are done through network admin. Thanks!
April 4, 2016 at 1:50 pm #866388When I have time, I plan to try and use this plugin to update the Theme:

Any thoughts? If you all can test this, then at least we have a good workaround for this issue until you all figure out a better solution, thanks!
Patrick

I’m sorry but we have not tested that plugin so we could not guarantee its results.
Thanks.
