There are no paragraph or line breaks in the post excerpts. However, they are shown on the full article. My settings for the “Blog -Content Area” is as follows:

Post Meta: On
Full Post Content on Index: Off
Excerpt Length: 300

If I change themes the paragraph and line breaks show in the post excerpts as expected.

Hi there,

Thanks for updating! Note that exceprts are meant to be within a single paragraph tag. As you have set long texts for your excerpts it’s looking odd. You can decrease the words to display for excerpts to get expected look.

I hear what you are saying, however, even in the free wordpress template 2011 it handles this issue with Paragraph breaks intact. Wouldn’t this indicate that the issue is in the template?

I have reduced the Excerpt Length to 50 and it looks better but still no paragraph breaks.

Hi Frank,

I just tested the post excerpts in your site and it works fine. You’ll need to manually input the post excerpts in Excerpts field by editing your post. This will also manage the line breaks and paragraphs as well.
