Thanks but I have tried that quite a few times and it doesn’t work. When I hover over the template I want, there is nothing for me to click to download. See attached photo. I was hovering on the template and it turned white and said Premium True Fullscreen but not a button to download.

Those logins only work on godaddy. I login through godaddy to edit my wordpress site hosted there rather than logging in on wordpress.org

Hey Guys, I must be losing the plot here… I have read all the posts and ThemeCo keep saying go to:

but when you do the FREE slider links go to BUY NOW and NO Download button anywhere.

All paths lead to YOU MUST REGISTER but to register you MUST pay… I must be missing the obvious but if it is so obvious how is it that so many people cannot find these mysterious FREE sliders?

Please free me from this torment and provide a PRECISE url for templates and explain how one can REGISTER when it clearly states that if the REV SLIDER has been bundled with Theme you cannot REGISTER… YOU CAN ACTIVATE but that is still NOT REGISTERED.

I await the solution in anticipation. J

1] Users will frequently inquire about the version of Revolution Slider being utilized within X. Because of the way that we are utilizing the plugin with in X, it should be noted that the version of Revolution Slider included with the theme is made intentionally for numerous reasons. Stability and Release Cycles are just a few of the reasons why we do not always utilize the latest version of the Revolution Slider plugin. Because of these reasons (among others), there is no need to register your license for Revolution Slider if you happen to have one. In fact, doing so is discouraged in order to prevent any potential conflicts when updating, as previously mentioned. If you happen see a notification in your WordPress admin panel asking you to register Revolution Slider upon activation, simply dismiss this notice.

2] The free slider exchange page is a place where you can see the demo sliders and download them. Please do hover on the slider thumbnail and you will see two icons. One icon links to the demo slider and the other icons allow you to download the slider.

3] And lastly, in your screenshot you got an error message “Slider with Agency-home” not found. This happened because you have imported the demo content without activating the slider revolution first. Please make sure that you have the slider plugin active and re import the demo content. This step should remove and fix the error in your site.

Hey, thanks for your reply which I didn’t receive an email notification for and only just spotted.

I have followed your instructions to the letter and I am sorry to say your advice must be out of date because the 2 icons you show as appearing when hovering over a ‘FREE’ slider template does NOT appear.

It seems the only way you get ‘FREE’ templates is by REGISTERING and to register you must pay if you are using a BUNDLED plugin from ThemePunch.

PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I AM INCORRECT… after you have tried to download the ‘FREE’ templates.

NOTE:

BTW in reply to your last comment, I had activated the plugin before I imported the demo data… ACTIVATING has no bearing on the result because I have tried it 3 times the way you suggest #justsayin as I have overcome the issue by creating my own slider… NOT the point though.

I guess that’s how you’ll get the sample now. They changed their policy where downloading samples is as easy as one click. And according to the badges of freemium slider, you can only import it when your rev. slider copy is activated.

When I import one of the slider templates it takes me to a white screen that reads ” importing slider settings and data…
dynamic styles imported!” And it stops there. Back on the slider page there is no new slider or template.

Resolved, sorta. I went back into the “add slider to template” screen and hit “update library” at the top right and then back out and the sliders show up now. Not sure it supposed to work that way but… worked.

I am receiving this error when trying to upload a slider template. I have tried to upload around 5 sliders, and all generate this error. If this is due to X theme compatibility (as above) what templates are actually compatible?
