Hey guys, I’ve seen this issue on the forum, but can’t quite figure out what to do.
When I attempt to add a slider template from the Slider Revolution admin, I get an option to choose either “local” or “online.”
If I choose “Local” I get a box that says “Please select the corresponding zip file from the download packages import folder called:”
But I don’t have any such files. Since the Rev Slider came packaged with my X theme, I don’t have any local files for the plugin.
If I choose “Online” A dialog box pops up that says “This feature is only available if you activate Slider Revolution for this installation.”
I’ve tried updating the plugin, but that doesn’t seem to get me anywhere either.
Can you tell me what I’m doing wrong?
Thanks!

September 12, 2015 at 12:45 am #386418Hi there,
Thanks for posting in.
I’m not sure what you’re referring. There is no need to upload zip packages when adding slider template. What you maybe did was importing and not adding template.
Would you mind providing a video recording of how you did this? I can’t check your site, please provide your login in private reply.
Thanks!
September 12, 2015 at 1:29 pm #386841Hello,
I’m facing the same problem. When I chose “Add Slider Template” from the Slider Revolution page in my dashboard and click on one of the template, I’m presented with two choices: either to import slider from local or from ThemePunch server:
When I chose “Online”, a message warn me that “This feature is only available if you activate slider Revolution for this installation”:
When I click “Local”, I’m asked to select a zip file which I don’t have:

September 22, 2015 at 10:22 pm #399406Hi There,
All of those slider template from here are zip files. After you download that zip file, you need to import that on your Revolution Slider.
Hope it helps, Cheers!

September 23, 2015 at 4:38 pm #400413Hi there,
It’s the limitation of the slider sample you’re importing. Some are not compatible with the latest version and you may try another sample.
Thanks!
September 24, 2015 at 4:19 am #400941So can we infer that Theme X does not allow for using the import from online template feature of Revolution Slider. I know that I can manually go to the template exchange, download a file, then upload the file, but why does the “Import from Online” feature not work?
September 24, 2015 at 6:02 am #401009Hi,
Import from online feature will require an api key from themepunch to be able to connect to their servers.
Revslider that is bundled with X does not come with an api key, you need to buy the plugin to be able to get one
Please refer to the link below for more information on how we integrate revslider into x themehttps://community.theme.co/kb/integrated-plugins-revolution-slider/
Thanks
