janavdvParticipantHello,
I actually don’t know if this is a Cornerstone or X question, but I just noticed that my two latest posts on my blog have no option to comment. On previous posts, “Leave A Comment” option appears together with my categories under my post title. From March 31 on, it doesn’t appear, and I didn’t do anything to change it. When I go to “Discussion Settings” I still have “Allow people to post comments on new articles” checked. I have the latest versions of X and Cornerstone. I can’t figure out where else to enable comments – I don’t see any such option on individual post edit page either.
Wordpress version: 4.4.2
X version: 4.4.1
Cornerstone version: 1.2.2Where can I re-enable comments? The only thing I can think of is that I added share links at the bottom, where the comment box used to be – but I’m not sure why Share links would obliterate the Comments section. But, I don’t even remember how I added the Share links so maybe I did something wrong…
Thanks!
Jana

LelyModeratorHi Jana,
Thank you for the credentials.
Please edit the specific post then check Allow Comments. If it is not available please click Screen Option on the upper right part of post page and then click Discussion. See attached screenshot.Hope this helps.

janavdvParticipantThanks for this! I was able to fix it. But it used to automatically be enabled, and I’m not sure why it’s not now. Will I have to check enable comments for each post from now on?

John EzraMemberHi Jana,
You’re most welcome and thanks for updating the thread. In most cases comments should be enabled for post. So you should not have to do this in future posts, unless something is conflicting. Did you install or try any comment plugin that could have made and/or left any changes? Otherwise, please check and see if the issue still remains in future posts.
Let us know how that goes. Hope this helps – thanks!
