robograceParticipantSo Slider Revolution comes with the theme, however we don’t have access to the updates. So, cornerstone will not save properly and I ended up losing a lot of time working on the site. I would suggest that you bundle another free slider with your theme maybe, to save headaches down the road, and so you don’t swindle people into purchasing a premium plugin. Unless there is another way to get the Slider Revolution updates of course, without registering as a direct buyer.

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing in! We have several options for plugin (i.e. Layer Slider, FlexSlider) with Revolution Slider.
However I am not entirely sure about the issue you are facing. Our Version Compatibility says the latest version v5.2.4.1 is compatible with X and I can see this on automatic update. If you can’t see then just check from Dashboard > Updates.
Hope this makes sense.
Cheers!

robograceParticipantAs you can see the most up to date version is 5.2.5.1, however I don’t have access to update it.
When I deactivate the slider, I can modify my site with cornerstone, however when it is activated, cornerstone says that it saves, however it doesn’t save.May 4, 2016 at 1:19 pm #912975
robograceParticipantIt’s really no big deal, I just want to know how I can add a banner like Revolution Slider, creates at the top of my home page, I can’t seem to add anything above the navigation bar without it. But, I can’t edit my site at all with Revolution, so if there is a work around that would be awesome.

robograceParticipantI would follow these tutorials, however Slider Revolution is the reason my site isn’t working. (Can’t update with the version that came with the X theme). Read the previous posts if you want to know why.
Thanks for trying though Rue Nel!May 6, 2016 at 2:19 pm #979178
JoaoModeratorHi There,
I have uploaded Slider Revolution for you.
For that I have clicked on Addons at your WP-Admin Dashboard.
And after scrolling down and finding Revolution Slider, I Clicked Install.
I have also activate it for you and it is working now.
Let us know if you need further help.
Thanks,
Joao

robograceParticipantYou installed it, however it still is not the latest version and it still makes Cornerstone not function properly, and it also makes my event calendar break. So if 5.2.5.1 version is not available without purchasing it, I would like to find an alternate way to create a slider at the top like slider revolution does, without breaking my site.
Any help would be grateful, I love what you guys did from a design point, but slider revolution breaks everything. I will deactivate it once again until I hear from you, thanks!! really appreciate the quick responses.May 6, 2016 at 11:58 pm #979794

FriechModeratorHi There,
For starters you can do a test for a plugin conflict. This is to make that the Revslider is not conflicting with other plugin. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins (but keep Cornerstone and Revslider active), and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know another plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
You can utilize the LayerSlider instead if the plugin that causing the issue is necessary.
Thanks.

robograceParticipantI deactivated all plugins, except for my “Events Calendar plugins” because they are a necessity, the problem continue d to persist, so I gave up and tried switching to “LayerSliders” as recommended, which allows me to edit in cornerstone unlike Slider Revolution, so I am thinking that it is Revolution Sliders that is causing the issue. I was hoping you guys may be able to set up an example header banner for me. As you can see now, on my home page, I tried creating a single image slider on my home, but sadly it shows up blank (completely white) not sure if the plugin isn’t working right, or if there is something that I did wrong. Thanks guys, really appreciate the help!
