Hi,
I’ve logged a support request with nextgen also but was just wondering if this is a known issue with X Theme. I see in the forum other people are using nextgen with success.
I can’t insert my galleries using the insert nextgen gallery button in the text editor. The nextgen shortcodes do appear to work but it’s quite laborious finding the correct shortcodes as I have a lot of galleries to insert.
I checked for plugin conflicts and there are none. I’m working on a local dev so unfortunately can’t provide a url at this time. WP, plugins and themes are all up to date.
I’m just wondering if there’s something obvious that I needed to do that I have missed…

Thanks for writing in! This doesn’t sound X related, and I’m not sure there’s much we can do to help. But, I will say this: Since WordPress 3.9, any plugins that added a custom editor button needed an update to support the new version of the editor. We had to do this with our X Shortcodes plugin. Some developers (like WooCommerce) decided to stop supporting their toolbar button in favor of other solutions.
It’s possible that you just need to update NextGEN. If it’s something else, hopefully they’ll have an answer for you soon!
