I’ve just installed X as a new theme for an old blog. When trying to upload new media, I’m getting this message: Unable to create directory uploads/2014/12. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

Permissions for all folders are 755.

I’ve gone in with FTP and created the directory jeffvillwock/wp-content/uploads/2014/12 and still get the same error. In the WordPress settings, jeffvillwock/wp-content/uploads is the default for new media.

Seems like X is trying to set up a new directory uploads/2014/12 in another area of the server. The URL is jeffvillwock.com. I’m stumped. Never had a problem uploading media.
