    WordPress 4.0.1
    X Version: 3.0.1

I’ve been trying to figure this out for a little while but can’t seem to make any ground. Any time I upload an image as a Featured Image, my pages, portfolio, posts are using an image that’s 9999 pixels tall. I’m sure I have to be missing something but can’t figure it out.

See this link for an example… http://how2getfound.com/portfolio-item/peachtree-ent-center/

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey There,

When going to the Text Editor in WordPress and inspecting the image are you seeing width=”1220″ height=”9999″? if yes remove those 2 lines and see what happens.

Nothing happens because the image itself has been created that size… PeachtreeENTCenter-1220×9999.jpg

The site won’t be very image heavy so I wasn’t too worried about images like this taking up a bunch of space.

Here’s the URL to the full image: http://how2getfound.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/PeachtreeENTCenter-1220×9999.jpg

    Hi,

Thank you for providing the login details.

Though I can see that the image are huge, I am still not entirely certain what it is you would like to accomplish based on the information given in your post. If you wouldn’t mind providing us with a little more clarification on what it is you’re wanting to do (a link to a similar example site would be very helpful, or perhaps some screenshots), we’ll be happy to provide you with a response once we have a better understanding of the situation.

I’m simply trying to add a featured image to a post or portfolio listing. Surly when I do that, it’s not supposed to look like this… http://how2getfound.com/portfolio-item/peachtree-ent-center/

And images that are created in WordPress aren’t supposed to be this big… http://how2getfound.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/PeachtreeENTCenter-1220×9999.jpg 1220×9999? That’s insane. Right?

I’ve never even seen what a featured image is supposed to look like using this theme but I’m quite sure that it’s not supposed to look like the above link.

Something MUST be going wrong here but I don’t have a clue where to start looking.

I’m well versed in CSS, HTML and PHP but changing the core files isn’t something I really want to do.

This site isn’t live yet and you have the log-in info… Please go an create a new post or portfolio page with any text you’d like. Then simply upload a featured image… Again, it doesn’t matter what image. Then publish the page to see what you get both in the featured image preview area on the admin side and on the page itself that would show to a visitor.

I just want to know why this is happening and how to get it fixed.

    Hi again,

It seems you were having a trouble due to a third party plugin, i deactivated all third party plugins and regenerated images via Force Regenerate thumbnails plugin, this resolved the issue. You can check a test post i made.

    Cheers!

What was the plugin causing the issue?

    Hey there,

Please enable the plugins one by one to know what plugin caused the issue.

    Thanks.

I had *exactly* the same problem, was going insane. In my case, the offending plugin was “Display Product for WooCommerce.”
