ethodeParticipantHi,
I’ve been developing a site locally using “clientsite.dev”. I’ve moved the site to a staging domain for the client to test “clientsite.mysite.com”. I noticed I needed to update X, but saw “Validate X to enable automatic updates.”. I realized it was tied to “clientsite.dev”. In the WordPress dashboard there was a button to “get new API key” or something that I clicked. Then I went to community.theme.co and unassigned the site from “clientsite.dev”. Then I assigned production to it’s eventual home “clientsite.com” and assigned development to “clientsite.mysite.com”. But I can’t make a new API key. I don’t see an option in the license section.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for writing in! API key was removed and changed to a license code in the latest X release. To resolve your issue, please do follow this steps;
1] Please login to your account and assign the license. You need to assign the license to your site using this url: https://www.your-domain.com/. You have to make sure that url you just assign is the same as the one you have in your settings, Settings > General > Site Address
2] Go back to X Addons > Home again, and insert the license in the field that ask you the api key.And please review the changes that we made on how you are going to validated your X theme because we made a big change in the process. Please check it out here: https://community.theme.co/kb/product-validation/
Hope this helps.
