Hi.
I have successfully used WP Fastest Cache for a long time, and with XTheme’s recent update (4.0.6) my navigation completely messed up, all formatting was lost and I just saw a html-type menu that looked awful. I have finally been able to fix it my deleting my cache and de-activating wp fastest cache, but this is not an ideal scenario long term. Please check what the issue is and if it can’t be resolved, please recommend an alternative cache plugin that is compatible.

WP version: 4.2.4
X theme Version: 4.0.6
Child theme: Integrity light
Cornerstone version: 1.0.5Thank you.
August 15, 2015 at 8:54 pm #360124Hello There,
Thanks for writing in! Once everything is updated or after you have updated, since you have installed a caching plugin (WP Fastest Cache), please clear your plugin cache before testing your site. This can cause the changes to not take place on the front end. It will eventually show up when the cache regenerates, but it’s not ideal if you’re looking to see your changes immediately. Caching plugins are best to turn on only when you’ve finished building the site.
Please let us know if this works out for you.
August 16, 2015 at 7:13 pm #360701Hi,
I had already deleted the plugin cache, and disabled minimization of js, as per your website instructions. I also deleted the caches in my various browsers (Safari, Chrome & FireFox) but this did not solve the issue. The only thing that solved the issue was de-activating WP Fastest Cache. Which, since I have successfully used this plugin for many months, and they update regularly, I do not particularly wish to find an alternative.
I’m hoping someone at ThemeCo can look into this.
Thanks.

I tested your site and couldn’t replicate the issue, WP Fastest Cache plugin is enabled and your Navigation works fine. Checked all of your pages and found no issue. You probably could be having an issue due to the cache. Before upgrading your theme it is recommended that you clear your plugin’s cache and deactivate the caching plugin.
Can you please check your site and confirm if it’s resolved?
Thanks!

November 18, 2015 at 9:15 am #670066Hi.
I’m re-opening this discussion because unfortunately this issue is ongoing. I am continuously having to disable the cWP Fastest Cache for all my websites that use the Xtheme, because the header messes up otherwise and then the pages look awful, and lose all formatting.
Am I the only one reporting this issue?
And if so, which cache plugin does ThemeCo recommend so as not to cause this issue? I asked this way back but did not receive an answer. A cache plugin is crucial for fast page loading times and in turn, impacts ratings with search engines.
Thank you in advance for helping to work through this.

You may use W3 Total Cache plugin. For more detail, please refer to our knowledge base article on Performance.
Thank you!
