I have a multisite installation. As I understand it X works with mutisite with needing additional licenses for auto-updates only if the network is setup to use sub-domains. Currently my multisite is 1 single site, but will be expanding to about 5-6 other sites in the future.
When I go to check for updates, X theme isn’t listed as having any available updates although 4.3.4. Is there a way to force updates to be shown? Is there a reason X Theme auto update won’t work in multisite for the main site?

Thanks for writing in! Please refer to the following post (https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/x-not-updating-on-multisite-newest-release-of-cornerstone-not-working/#post-863154).

April 6, 2016 at 3:00 am #868762Hi there,
Sorry about that, I put the replay here :
We’ve been investigating the multisite automatic update issues. Our original system was never specifically designed to work with multisite, but would often work when X was active on the main site. The problem is that when WordPress checks for updates at the network level, the theme code isn’t included. With X running on the main site, it will try to insert update information into the WordPress update cache. But that cache is volatile, and the network dashboard can clear it out – at which point because X isn’t running, the X update doesn’t appear anymore. This is what we’ve deduced about multisite updates being hit or miss. We will likely update our documentation to reflect that automatic updates are not supported on Multisite, but still have a few more things to look into.
Hope it helps.
