AviWebInParticipantI love X and have been working with the theme for a few years now. I have a request to do somethings with theme that I am not sure is even possible. So here is what I am trying to accomplish. I would like to be able to set up four demos of each stack. This way a client can toggle between different theme customizations. I attempted to do this by replicating the child theme, renaming in style.css etc. I imported the demo content while one of these child’s was active. Perfect. However when I switched to the other child that demo content still showed up no matter what I did. I noticed that each home page that the demo installs is different could this perhaps be the culprit? Please advise, Somewhat Stuck and this could be bad.
Thanks

RupokMemberHi there,
It’s not possible to use multiple demo within a single setup. You need to use mutiple setup on subfolder and install them separately. You will be able to validate sub folder sites with the same license.
Cheers!

AviWebInParticipantHi, thanks for your response.
Let’s say for example the site itself runs on multisite. Each setup runs from the same theme directory and shares the Same DB. I haven’t gotten to the point of trying to import demo content into any of the subsites yet. Attempting to do the theme toggle from one of the network sites. What you explained is fairly simple of a setup. However, in this particular case, all of the WordPress sites are tied together. Perhaps re-examining the approach of setting up several sub installs and attempting the demo content on each one of the independent sites would be the best approach to this.

RadModeratorHi there,
Based on your first provided information, you’re switching child theme and expect different stack/demo? That’s not possible, because regardless of theme you activate, it’s still the same instance of site/sub-site, hence, same contents.
What you could do is this
1. Activate X theme on the root site (main site even before you turn it in multi-site) and validate the purchase key. Purchase key should be assigned to this root site domain.
2. Add your sub-site and activate X theme and validate it again. ( Purchase key should be assigned to the root site domain )
3. You can duplicate your child theme with different folder names, this way, you can activate unique child theme for each but with same parent theme. Eg. x-child-renew, x-child-integrity, etc.
4. Import your demo content to each sub siteAgain, it’s not decided by the child theme and it’s not related to demo content. Even without it, you can still import demo. I only suggested just in case you wish to add customization to each sub-site.
Thanks.
