    Hey guys,

    I have a client who currently has a wordpress site built and live using organic themes. They’re not happy with their website and I have advised them to move over X theme. Providing it’s a smooth process they are happy to oblige.

    I was wondering if you can give me advice on the process of moving over to X theme. I have only ever built websites from scratch using X theme and have no experience moving websites over.

    Any help and advice would be really appreciated!

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing in! To get the full privilege of X and Cornerstone, I’d suggest to recreate the pages with Cornerstone. As the content is already there, I believe it won’t be tough to recreate them.

    Hi Tamara,

    Yes, It would be best if you develop the site on a staging environment first so their live site won’t be affected. You can setup a staging site as sub-domain or as a sub-folder.

    Start the site from the scratch like you always do, just ask them what are the things on their site that they want to retain and what things/info that they want to add.

    You said above that They’re not happy with their current website, so you might want to offer them to redesign everything.
