GulfishinParticipantHi, I need a new API to install X-theme on a new host site and all the avenues i try fail.My next problem (and the biggest one is) Whilst on my old host I tried an add on back up program and it didn’t work, my only option was to copy all the files across via my FTP client, to my local hard drive. I did’t realise that i needed the Database files as well. The old host is being a real pain and not allowing to retrieve any files unless i renew. I’m in oz, he’s in the UK and needless to say the lag is ridiculous. So, if i reinstall x, is there anyway I can salvage anything from the file I have. I’m not a great programmer, starting the obvious after highlighting my rookie error. Any help would be very greatly appreciated.
Thanks In advanced Steve

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing in! I’d suggest you to follow our Migration article to avoid any issue after moving your site.
Cornerstone stores the page data separate from the final content by using post meta. If you are doing a search and replace, you will need to make sure that your script will work on post meta, and can handle serialized data. This plugin for example should be able to handle that: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-migrate-db/
So you can follow the above guide for all available options to avoid any incompatibility issue.
Hope this helps.
