    I started to build my website and not being a developer i mistakenly used the core theme instead of a child theme. I’ve made a lot of changes thus far. How do you recommend I proceed at this point?

    Thanks for writing in.

    Regretfully, there is no easy way to do it but to transfer the changes you made in your core theme into your child theme.

    And then after i do that, how do i restore the core theme back to its original state, without the modifications?

    Hi there,

    Yes after moving the changes to Child Theme, you need to use a fresh copy of X and never touch this again.
