    Hi,

    Thanks for all your help so far.

    I have designed a website originally based on http://theme.co/x/demo/icon/1/ with an independent sidebar.

    My client has made some large requests which I think may have taken it out of the scope of X Theme – but can you confirm?

    1) They would like to keep the independent side bar visible in all devices apart from the mobile

    2) The mobile view would have a custom layout, details to follow..

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing in! Those are possible but need some custom development. You need to use media query to make the sidebar visible with the content. Do you want to achieve this for mobile device as well? It wouldn’t be nice because mobile screen would be too small to display them side by side.

    If you need different layout for mobile device then you could use the content hiding feature. Let’s select the Section/Row and check the device you want to hide for – http://prntscr.com/9a4ibh

    (If Mobile icon is checked then the content will be hidden for mobile devices)

    That’s all we could suggest for your issues.

    Thanks for your response.

    Yes the client wants a sidebar on the mobile version – against our advice!

    Firstly though, as screenshot 3 shows, the homepage needs to turn in to a dashboard, much like the home screen on an iphone so I’m not sure it is a case of just hiding elements as the layout/appearance needs to change to a grid of 9, curved corner icons with page titles below them.

    These icons will then link to the parent page, and any sub menu will display at the top of it. The mobile sidebar will include the icons as a main navigation – so this will also differ from the desktop sidebar.

    Does this still sound possible?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for updating. It would be a bit unusual technically it would be possible with custom development and that’s out of our support scope. I can’t even suggest you a good way to achieve this sine it’s not normal.
