I have two websites suddenly experiencing this problem. When clicking on the menu on any mobile device, the menu opens and then immediately closes.

I’ve read the suggested resolution (https://community.theme.co/kb/solutions-to-potential-setup-issues-navigation/#more-131477) as well as numerous posts on the subject. I’ve tried all of the suggestions including custom js, etc.

Both sites are running the current WP v4.7.3. Both stacks (icon and ethos) are up-to-date, v4.6.4. All plugins on both sites are up-to-date as well except Visual Composer. (Once again it appears that the current version is not available from your site to complete an automatic update).

Thanks for writing in!

Please try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Hi Rue. Instead of testing the plugins one-by-one I tried toggling them all. Apparently that corrected the issue for both sites.

I’ve no idea why deactivating and activating them again all at once worked, but after 24 hours the mobile menus appear to be working normally again.

For anyone that runs into the same issue this may help…

Select all plugins > Bulk Action > Deactivate > [Clear Cache if you’re using a plugin like WP Super Cache or W3 Total Cache] > select all plugins again > Bulk Action > Activate.
