I’m looking in the theme customize on where to add metas. I also tried to look on shortcodes. Is there a way to add meta tags in the x theme? or should I use a separate plugin for this? regards

    Hey there,

    Thanks for posting in!

X theme is having default meta tags (http://prntscr.com/5aprll) already in it. However, if you would like to have more control over them, you can use a very popular plugin “WordPress SEO by Yoast“.

After using the above plugin, please go to the Customizer and select Off under Social > OpenGraph > OpenGraph Enable

    Thanks!

on default meta tags I cannot edit them without using a plugin? because my pages meta description are like this “<meta property=”og:description” content=”[vc_row padding_top=”120px” padding_bottom=”120px” border=”none” bg_image=”331″ parallax=”true” …. ”

I can’t see the Social > OpenGraph. I only see social media urls

I’m having the same issue. It’s driving me crazy. I’m getting <meta property=”og:description” content=”[vc_row... in my header. All that code in the description is no good 🙁 I’m using SEO Yoast, but it’s not solving the issue.

Is there a solutions for this?

Also, I just discovered that the theme was updated to include the option to turn Open Graph options off — it’s in the customize > Social section. https://theme.co/x/member/forums/topic/duplicate-open-graph-tags-extraneous-css-in-the-header/#post-144328 (Scroll to the bottom of this).

    Hey Getonlineph,

    We’re sorry for the issue!

I’m seeing that you’re already using the latest version of theme and X shortcodes plugin, would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

    – Link to your site
    – WordPress Admin username / password
    – FTP credentials

Don’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.

To grossmanje: Are you able to fix this issue by disabling OpenGraph from the Customizer?

    Thanks!
