AndyParticipantHello and congrats on the Cornerstone launch.
At roadtripsharing.com
I made a menu called Home with the front page section ID’s as links:
#rts-about-section
#rts-faq-section
#rts-safety-sectionBut the links aren’t working even though my browser shows for example http://roadtripsharing.com/#rts-about-section
as the link on hover for About nav item. Also I noticed FAQ shows up as highlighted by default which is weird.Home is set as the One Page Navigation menu for the home page but I have checked it as the main menu and it doesn’t work on any page, in case that matters.
Thanks for your help, much appreciated.

Rue NelModeratorHi There,
Thanks for writing in! Upon checking on the page, there is a JS error. You may have inserted an invalid JS code. Please try removing your custom JS code and test again your site. You could also try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
Please let us know how it goes.

AndyParticipantHi,
I commented out the global JS and deactivated all plugins. All I saw was the menu and a bunch of code. When I re-activated Cornerstone I saw the page again but the menu is still behaving badly. I will pass the login credentials in the next message, would really appreciate your help as it does not appear to me that any of the console errors even initially, let alone now, were related to the menu functionality.
Thanks

Paul RModeratorHi Andy,
Upon checking, I can see your menu seems to be working now.
Kindly clear your browser cache and try again.
Thanks

AndyParticipantUnfortunately when I switched back to X-child from X the menu reverted to the old behavior. I tried commenting out my style.css and functions.php custom content with no change.
UPDATE: I switched back to X again and it was fine, but then when I added custom css or activated all plugins, not sure which because i don’t think it reverted right away, kind of crept back to defunct mode.
I’ll create a separate test page to try to debug and get back to you.
Thanks.

AndyParticipantHi Rad,
Thanks for asking me to let you know.
I am confused about what’s going on. I deactivated all plugins except Cornerstone, commented out my custom CSS and JavaScript and functions.php, cleared my browser cache, and the one-page navigation at roadtripsharing.com is not working.
Before when you helped, it seemed fixed but when I activated plugins and customizations to child theme, after a few minutes the one page navigation stopped working (on X parent or X child).
Now even when I have everything deactivated / cleared as I mentioned above, it’s still not working. Did you do anything to fix it before? Or did the one page navigation just appear to be working? I notice when I’m logged in, an additional unattractive scroll bar appears on the right side of the page next to the browser scroll bar. Could this be related?
I notice when I click “About” in navigation there is a little scroll down but it doesn’t make it past the first section.
I posted login credentials earlier in this thread. Please feel free to go in and check it out. If we can keep it as X-child rather than reverting to X parent that would be ideal as we need to add fairly extensive customizations.
Any obvious things I am missing with this?
Many thanks!
Andy

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
Have you modified X’s files in x-child folder?
Please connect to FTP account and navigate to wp-content/themes/x-child, remove all customization from x-child folder and add them back slowly until you find which code or file is causing the issue.
Let us know how it goes.

AndyParticipantHi Christopher,
Yes I had added a header file to x-child but thought I had deleted it. Maybe not / maybe I changed something else by accident.
Because the site doesn’t need to be up just yet I did a fresh WordPress install (kept the original databases just in case) with Renew which is better for what I’m doing anyway, and now it’s working. I have a question about the scroll animation which I’ll post in another thread.
This issue is resolved.
Thanks!

rpijut44ParticipantHello, My main page photos are not appearing on my home page layout and neither are the menu tabs except for Home. How do I get the same layout as the demo Integrity 9?

RupokMemberHi @rpijut44
Not sure why you have posted this on this thread as it’s not relevant with the topic. Also you have provided your localhost link which can not be accessed from anywhere.
Kindly open a new thread and describe your issues there. Also provide valid URL that can be accessed.
Cheers!
