I’m trying to add icons in my menu, and am not having much luck. I’ve added this to the Navigation Label of the menu item, but I only get a blank clickable space:

    <i class=”x-icon x-icon-shopping-cart”></i> (Screen shot attached)

I have tried multiple icons, but nothing renders the icon. Please help.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing in!

That should be working, would you mind posting your wp-admin login details in a private reply please. We can then take a closer look at this for you.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

Thank you for providing your login credentials.

I tried some codes for the icon but it looks like something is conflicting.

You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

    Hello,

I’ve tried as you have recommended, and also with only the plugins that come with this theme. The shopping cart icon still doesn’t render.

This is resolved. I was able to pull the data-x-icon value from the icons shortcode page. For anyone else with this issue go to the icons shortcode page, right-click->View Source. Search for your x-icon, and copy the full i-class reference markup. In my case:

    <i class=”x-icon x-icon-shopping-cart” aria-hidden=”true” data-x-icon=””></i>
