xponent21ParticipantI’ve removed the code altogether as I have it somewhere else, but the problem persists.
Thank you in advance for your continued support.

xponent21ParticipantI have removed the code from the customizer entirely. I don’t need it there. But it still isn’t working.

xponent21ParticipantI believe I may have found the reason: I had maps in my menu. I turned off the Uber menu and it gave me a different error (domain not authroized – on my end, I know).
I am going to try using shortcodes instead of the map embed and see if that improves the situation. I’ll report back.

xponent21ParticipantSo it looks like the new API requirements won’t work if you have a Google maps embed on the same page (or above) a Google Maps Element. I had google maps in the menu and the Google Maps Element on the page. Ultimately I switched it all to a Google maps embed.
I like the Google Maps Element better (the way it displays it), so it would be good if this issue is fixed.
Thanks.

AlexanderKeymasterYou’re welcome! Quick update: In Cornerstone 1.3.0 we added a text control to the Google Maps element allowing you to specify an API key.

RadModeratorHi Stuart,
Please ignore the above script and update your X theme and cornerstone. The update includes the API Key option for map element.
Thanks!

stuartrowensParticipantRad,
Glad the update has this sorted out. I’ve removed the script and used my APY key on the new Google Maps element, but I’m getting the same error. I even switched back to the parent theme and nothing changed. Any ideas?

stuartrowensParticipantNevermind- it was an issue with my API key. I’ve corrected it. Thanks!

JoaoModeratorHi There,
You need to get a Google Map API Key and now with Cornerstone 1.3 you have a box to place the API on the Map Element.
Please see this link for more information
https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key
Hope it helps
