NoellemenaParticipantHey there!
So I love the large header on the home page. But it is just too much throughout the whole site as it makes the content so much further down the page. Is there CSS that I could add that I could choose the size of it for the homepage only???Like I would make it a no header page but then it takes away the navigation bar.
I would LOVE to be able to take away the logo but leave the navigation bar and just put a slider above the navigation.Does it make sense??
1) Is there a way to hide JUST the header but not the navigation on the home page and have a slider above the navigation through the page settings??2) If I cannot, then, I do not have that many pages on this site, I could use CSS and Page id’s to change the size of the logo on each of the “other” pages. What would that CSS be??
3) There are soooooooo many times that I want to put something else up where the logo is so I want to hide it, but it always hides the navigation too. I do soooo want to know what CSS to use to make that able to happen per page ID when I want.
I hope this makes sense! 🙂 THank you so much!

LelyModeratorHi Noelle,
On Appearance > Customize > Header > Logo Width: Set the size of the logo you want for the entire site. Then on homepage, we will use custom CSS to override that and set the size you want specific for HOMEPAGE.
1.)Yes, we can always use CSS. Since that is a logo, we can use this custom CSS:
.home .x-logobar { display: none; }2.) No need for this since #1 will work for your setup
3.) Yes, we can hide it per page. For example, to hide the logo bar on About page, use the following CSS:
.page-id-37 .x-logobar { display: none; }To hide it for Web design page:
.page-id-39 .x-logobar { display: none; }Just use the correct page ID.
We can even combine both of them to this:.page-id-37 .x-logobar, .page-id-39 .x-logobar { display: none; }Also note that the homepage has default home class that is why we didn’t use the page id class.
Hope this helps.
