Two related questions…
I have my Mailchimp account connected and the new Email Form extension setup so people can opt-in to my list. In return for their email address, I’m emailing them a freebie through the automated part of MailChimp. My automated email was not being sent.
I know the person is getting subscribed because of the double opt-in which I want to turn off so all they’re getting is the freebie in their inbox, eliminating one less step.
HALP!
March 24, 2016 at 5:06 pm #851626Hi there,
Thanks for writing in! Regretfully, both your queries have to do more with MailChimp instead of X. The extension merely helps create the form and integrates MailChimp. The functions of double opt-ins and actually sending out the email are both controlled from MailChimp itself.
Furthermore, double opt-ins are required on MailChimp and can’t be turned off. It may be possible with some custom development, but that would be beyond our scope of support.
Lastly, You can go through this article to see if it helps make sure your subscribers do get their emails.

We apologies if we’re not able to help much in this area as it isn’t something we have direct control over. You may wish to contact MailChimp directly or engage a developer for a custom solution. Thank you for understanding.
