    Dear Staff,

My mailchimp shortcode button does not seem to be clickable on a mobile (iPhone) device.

Can you please assist me in what I have to change?

    Thanks already for a reply

    regards

    Maarten

    PS My site is ondolongo.nl

    Hi Maarten,

    Thanks for writing in!

Upon checking, I’m not seeing any Mailchimp form in your homepage or contact page. Please provide us with the URL of page in question so we can take a closer look to the issue.

    Thanks!

    Hi Maarten,

    Thanks for the URL!

The button is actually working on mobiles too but not showing the confirmation message. In this case, you could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Let us know how it goes. Thanks!

    Hi,

I don’t have that many third party plugins, most of them are Themeco’s own design. I do have tried your possible solution but no success…

What is weird is that I do see the johndoe@gmail.com in my mailchimp list. I assume this is the email address you used for testing.

The email addresses I have used to test the plugin on a mobile device (iphone 5, both safari as chrome browser app) did not get entered on my list. The same goes for the test on one of my friends devices (not sure which model that was)

What mobile device did you use? Can that be one of the reasons why your emailaddress does get entered on my mailchimp list (without the confirmation message) and my test email does not?

thanks for your help so far in the world of the art of software 🙂

    regards

    Hi Maarten,

I did test your site on an iPhone 5 too. I’ve tested my own site in iPhone 5 and the confirmation message is coming just fine (see: http://prntscr.com/8mjwak). Can you try creating a new form, adding it to a new page and seeing if the problem resolves?

Let us know how it goes. Thanks!

    Hi there,

I will try your suggestion and come back to you asap.

Although I can’t help but notice that if your screenshot shows an CONFIRMATION message…it sure looks a lot (RED instead of GREEN) and reads a lot (“Something went wrong. We cannot add your email to our list”) as a REJECTION message?!?

Or was this maybe the second test and was that email address already entered on the list?

    regards

    Hi Maarten,

That’s right. The email I used to test was already subscribed to my list. The purpose of the screenshot is to show that Mailchimp confirmation is working on my end. So there’s probably something wrong in your site specifically.

Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks!

    Hi there Maarten,

    Hope you’re well today.

I’ve been testing this and have tried to replicate on a HTC, iPhone and iPad without any luck, it all works perfectly for me on your site.

Can you let me know what iOS version you are using please? 🙂

    Thank you!

    Dear Staff,

I do indeed have 2 new entries and emailadresses of your test as input on my list, but not 3.

    email 1
    email 2

I have tested it with different email addresses, browsers, on wifi and 4G and two different iPhones, but I don’t get any entry on my mailchimp list….?!? My iPhone runs the latest software: iOS 9.0.2 iPhone 5 Model MD297DN/A

We might have to check the internet cable between Amerika and Europe…. 😐

I hope you have a new option to try!

    Thanks already

    Hi there Maarten,

Hope you’re well today! Hope you don’t mind but I’ve edited the emails out, as that is my real email address. 🙂

Sorry, I should have mentioned, there would only be two emails, as on the 3rd one, I used the same email to check the error message worked.

On your iPhone, you are using the default Safari browser correct? Any apps installed that modify the browser in anyway for example? 🙂

    Please advise.

    Thank you!

    Hi Staff,

normal safari without any apps modifying the browser. I have also tested on chrome, same story…

I have just tested it on an iPhone 6 of a friend, which is as good as a clean install…did not work…

I have also tested it in safari in the responsive design mode…in that mode de mail chimp plugin did work…

Can there be any difference with European mobile iPhone models? Cause I can’t get it to work on any mobile device of any friend…as well 🙁

    Let me know

    Hi there Maarten,

Hope you’re well today and thanks for writing back.

Nope, the iPhones should be the same, the only other possibility is a timeout, what sort of connection are you using, mobile data (3G/4G) or over wi-fi? Please advise. 🙂

    Thank you!
